It was a nice bright day for her as she slowly made her way back to God's garden. Her tail brushed the air as she had an idea of how to get more blackberries from her depleted stock. She had overheard a while back that the soil in God's garden was quite nutritious and could support Blackberries elderberries and a few other fruits she was curious about. She currently held several berries she couldn't bring all of them until she knew this would work. Meaning this would likely happen more often if she found success in the berry planting. She currently had some water from the ravine in a leaf she had dragged all the way to the garden managing to keep most of the water within it she stared at the soil. She sat quietly as she planned out the best route to till the soil.

Io was always doing something. If she sat idle for too long, it was easy to let her mind wander. She could remember when she was dead and it would be so simple to let her consciousness drift in the wind once more. She hadn't a care in the world then. Now she had responsibilities. Taking care of Deathbelle and keeping the woman company. That kept Iolaire tethered to earth. Sometimes though, she just needed to go do something.

The wirey old woman was stalking about the God's Garden, hunting for various herbs that she could shove into the satchel around her neck when she caught sight of a young wolf. Iolaire's face scrunched up for a moment and she moved forward, making no effort to hide her presence. "What are you doing there?" Green and gold eyes noted the leaf and the little pile of berries. A brow arched, the old woman giving a little chortle. "Planting? Want me to show you how to do it right?" Iolaire's wiggly digits were all green, meaning that she was very, very good with plants.

"Iolaire"

The wolf looked up with a curious expression. Her ears folding back as she first heard the approaching female. Her tail swishing at the air as she said, "Who dere?" Her eyes focusing in for a moment to notice the approaching female. She was certainly much older then Skorgek. Who seeing the green paws nodded happily, "Yes, " She paused for a moment rubbing her chin with a paw before looking at the ground curiously. She had found what looked to be soft soil. She had mostly assumed you dig a hole and put the seed in. However, it would be quite good for her to learn from such a well learned individual. Her tail wiggling at the air while she said, "What is name? Mine Skorgek" she said with a smile. Her speech tone although rough was certainly not a cruel one. She was doing her best to be friendly.
She would explain why she speaks weird if she needed to. Knowing it wasn't normal, however she had great trouble in forming words.

The young fae was eager to learn and Iolaire grinned. Despite her age, she still had pristine, white teeth. That probably had to do with her extensive healing skills. She knew the importance of good dental care.

The broken speech of the girl made Io tilt her head slightly. Skorgek, she gave the name, asking Io's in return. The young fae wagged and the tri-colored fae wagged in return, smiling again. "Iolaire, but you can call me Io." She gave a friendly pat to the girl's paw before getting to work.

Digging in the satchel that she always kept with her, Io removed an old, well worn spade. She sat it before the girl and then looked above, gauging the light that this area would get during the day. "You need to make sure that your plants will receive enough light. This will be
a good spot." Io tromped ahead, using her paw to scratch away a bit of earth at even intervals. "Plants also need room to grow, so it's important to leave enough space between them." With one paw, she gestured to the scratch marks. "Dig a hole in each of these spots abouuuuut... this deep." Sitting on her haunches, the old woman used both paws to show the depth that she thought would be ideal.

"Io"

Skorgek sniffed at the spade that had been laid on the ground. Her eyes looking over it quietly before she picked it up in her mouth and began to follow the instructions to the best of her ability. Digging a hole a few inches deep to allow space for the berries and herbs to be planted. Her tails brushing back and forth quietly as she would look up for confirmation before moving to the next spot leaving a score of holes along the ground for planting. Her bag wasn't completely full but there was enough berries to fill the holes she had currently dug into the earth. The soil was really soft making her attempt rather easy.

Io looked on with approval as Skorgek dug the holes and placed the berries. Once that was finished, the old woman stepped forward, took one nimble paw, and pushed the dirt back into the hole, covering the berries. "Then we just cover them again," she instructed, allowing the younger wolf to finish the rest.

Within her pack was a little clay dish and she gave this to the girl as well. "There's a little stream just over there. Each berry needs a sip of water, but not too much. The soil here is very rich and moist." Now to give the kid the bad news.

"Elderberries, blackberries, raspberries... they all take years to fully fruit." The old woman chuckled. "I'll be long gone by then, but you won't." Io gave Skorgek a pat on the paw. "You just remember old Iolaire when you come to collect these berries, eh?"

"Iolaire"

Skorgek looked up and nodded as she would take the dish her ears lowering in a somber glance as she nodded. "Skorgek remember Iolaire" she said in her own accented tone. Her body wiggling back and forth slowly as she used a paw to close off the dirt patches. Having laid 12 plants each covered and given a fair bit of range before she would wander to the nearby stream. Giving each berry only a few drips from the bowl. Skorgek being careful not to flood the berries as she dripped the water on each one. Her tail swishing back and forth she looked up and said, "Skorgek, unsure, Skorgek, want know more about Iolaire, and learn more from her. Iolaire be Skorgek teacher?" She asked in her friendliest tone.
"Speech!"
