Their path had lead them from woodlands to a canyon. Though they walked along the top areas of it, Beauregard couldn't help but be drawn closer to the edge. Down below a river trailed along the bottom, and he could see small caverns alongside the cliff walls. Beau flicked his ears forward, believing he caught movement down below. He stopped, observing, and realized he was looking on a wolf that seemed to be gathering things from beside the water. Curiosity filled him and Beau would move to start trying to descend, wondering what sort of wolf he'd meet at the bottom of the canyon. Trill would call above him, sweeping down in front of Beau down near the other wolf.

Vashou sat quietly at the base of the canyon a fish in their mouth. The tail of the wolf shaking back and forth slowly as they looked up curiously. They usually slept a bit longer however the water had been somewhat active with fish at this time. So Vashou had some trouble sleeping through the splashing water. As Beauregard descended into the canyon, he could make out the earthy tones of the wolf below, their tail moving back and forth. The descent was interesting, his claws gripping at the stone where he could. Blind shook her head as she watched her companion descend in the canyon. It was risky business, and something she didn’t want to deal with. She’d wait for Beauregard to make his way back up later. He’d make it most of the way down before the red-brown wolf in the water took notice of them. Beauregard scrambled the rest of the way down and hopped down to finish his descent, taking in a breath. Vashou watches quietly as the other slid down the hill. Their ears perked in caution as the other wolf slowly closed in on them. Biting down on the fish he would deal the finishing blow.
