after a day of tromping through a variation of differing territories, Yarra feels positively filthy. her paws are coated in muck, there’s bits of leaf stuck between her fur, and she’s pretty sure an actual bird landed on her back at some point (she’d been a bit preoccupied fighting her way through a swamp at the time to really check.) the sight of a beach, in this case, feels like near divine intervention; she all but rushes to the shoreline, splashing thunderously past the shallows until she can sink properly into it’s tepid depths. ah, now this is the life. if only it isn’t so fucking cold!
