Rainy Day

He'd gotten up early to start his rounds just before the sun rose. Leaving the stall he had chosen for himself, Balian and Idu started putting together a small fire to warm the place up. It had been unusually chilly as of late, and this morning was no different. After he put some wood into the fire pit, Idu used the flint to light it up, and within minutes there was a nice, warm fire going. "Let's get started with the day," He murmured to himself as he walked out to the entrance of the barn. Glancing up, he noticed gray skies, and a little ways a way he could see darker clouds. The rain had yet to fall, but he could smell it in the air. Somewhere in the distance, the rumble of thunder could be heard, but it was too far to be of any concern.
