Since the meeting, Enki has been in much higher spirits. For once, in his short life, things seem to be going well and it is all thanks to Tazzy. The wall that his mind had placed between him and his emotions is falling and, while that can be scary at times, the pale pink boy is realizing that, with all the negative things also comes some great ones too. As he slowly wanders through the snow-covered land where a stone wall lays in disrepair, Enki keeps the smaller, more colorful boy tucked safely into his scruff and he cannot help but feel… happy.
A cold wind slices through all wolves’ coats like a knife and, once again, he is grateful that they have brought thick fur cloaks. While it is midday, it is difficult to discern that fact due to the dreary, wintery conditions. Snow falls in thick, heavy, steady sheets that try to work against the pair by creating thick snow banks that Enki does his best to avoid. The sun cannot be seen and any warmth that might have filtered down to the ground is stolen away from the boys by the frigid gusts that threaten to topple the taller boy. Those same winds also send the soft powder drilling into the boy’s baby blue eyes, causing them to sting and water in anger.
Still, in spite of all the rotten conditions, a warm smile is blooming across his features as the boy angles the pair toward a tall, mostly unbroken section of the wall. There, in the shadow of the fortification, the structure works to the boys advantage and helps by acting as breaker against the wind’s gusts. The snow begins to fall even more heavily as Enki settles down into the snow, allowing Tazzy the opportunity to dismount from his back. Once the other boy is safely on the ground, the pale pink boy stretches out. As he dips down into a play bow, his lips pull up and a rather loud, extravagant yawn fills the air.
His rump suddenly collapses to the ground as Enki playfully flops over into the snow and buries his nose underneath the white blanket. Happy growls roll out into the air as the boy actually begins to play in the snow. This is his very first experience with the stuff and he couldn’t be enjoying himself more. Nose flicks up, sending snow spraying towards Tazzy as he joyfully barks a laugh, shoving his body further into the cold, frozen tundra as his legs sprawl out to push the snow every-which-way as he writhers happily in the snow.
After several minutes of the pale pink boy playing while his laughter fills the air, his head shoots up as an idea suddenly forms in his mind. Unexpectedly, Enki shouts, “Tazzy! Race me! I want to race in this stuff!” Baby blue eyes shine with excitement as he suddenly regains his paws, powder clinging to his form as he rises. Paws slap the ground as he waits for the colorful boy to agree and the excited lad dances to his side. Looking down the length of the crumbling structure to find a clear end point, he lifts a paw to jab at a distant hole and declares, “There! That is the finish line. Oh wait… we need a prize.”
Eyes dance as he looks down at the boy and declares, “How about… the winner, gets to claim a kiss?” Enki gazes down at Tazzy, the fondness that he has felt for the colorful boy making him bold in his declaration. Yes, the pale pink boy is falling head over heels, for the other boy and he couldn’t be happier about that fact.
