she is out! she's out in the world, and she's gracing this wooded territory with her presence, admiring the shifting gold tones across her snowy pelt as she slinks through the sun-dappled undergrowth. it's a crisp spring day, with bright blue skies and a floral scent lingering in the air. before she'd left El had tucked one such flower behind her ear, and now she imagines the image she must make: a spell-binding girl alight with youth and elegance, enchantment personified. should someone stumble upon her they'd surely be transfixed by the very sight of her, hardly able to comprehend the reality of her presence. but oh, she's real - she's Elara Klein. and to be Elara Klein is to be ethereal.

The world is now theirs to explore, and Simurgh is ready for it. She emerges from the den eagerly, but from there it becomes a question of where to go and what to do. There are different things in all directions - stones, grass, trees, flowers, bugs, prey… so much to see, so little time! But Simurgh does not want to rush her adventure, and instead takes a breath and slowly herself as she begins to get acquainted with her new world. Behind her the girl’s multicolored tail wags back and forth and her eyes take in the day. Thankfully the skies are clouded, but it is still warm out, and the warmth fills her with energy as she takes notice of one of her siblings nearby. Simurgh’s ears perk up and immediately the she-pup beelines for her sibling with a playful grin on her face. “Elara!” She calls to her sibling. “You’re looking great! Have you met anyone else yet?”[/color] They lived in a pack, right? So there were bound to be other wolves for them to run into somewhere.

El preens at her sister's praise, eyes closing as she directs a smug grin in Sim's direction. "oh, i know. it's like this place was made for me." endeared by Simurgh's compliment, she eagerly approaches the girl, even going so far as to playfully bump their shoulders together. El is not unlike a prickly goddess, an Aphrodite upon whose alter little gifts and compliments must be heaped so as not to evoke her ire. if done so regularly, she is open and responsive - almost sweet. and it is with a near-fond expression that she regards Sim now. "no, not yet," she admits, mildly disappointed. so far she has yet to make the acquaintance of anyone outside her own family. "i suspect they're all too intimidated to introduce themselves." a playful glint enters her gaze, features turning almost... mischievous. "that doesn't mean we can't have our fun though, right?" she is still a child, after all, and is want to play - though any games that require her to get dirty are strictly prohibited. |

ooh, now this game Elara likes very much! truly, her sister’s mind is brilliant - reaching near genius levels of imagination. a forest castle, of which she is it’s princess? how inspired! how fitting! El gets into character almost immediately, straightening her shoulders and lifting her chin to look down on her royal subject. it isn’t hard to cement the roles in her mind, placing herself at the forefront of this imagined hierarchy while her sister remains at her side as a loyal, trusted knight. fanning herself with a paw, El presents it to Sim to kiss, maintaining a lofty, arrogant expression that really doesn’t stray much from her usual mannerisms. “why yes, noble knight, i shall grant you the honour of escorting me. and who knows? if you get me there safely, i may even promote you to general of my armies.” what a privilege, El thinks, practically bathing in her own self-righteousness, to bestow on such a lowly subject. what a benevolent princess she is, indeed. first, however…”i’ll need a crown.” she lifts an expectant brow, surveying their surroundings in search of a suitable material. how can she possibly hope to rule without a symbol of her power? without a beautiful circlet placed adopt her head? |

”Elara, look! Do you think if we get it down we could make this work?” El turns to observe the offered material, eyes skimming it critically. elegant, pretty, covered in flowers…”i suppose it will do,” she allows, giving a single nod of approval - nevermind the greedy sparkle that enters her gaze. now that it’s been pointed out to her, she simply must have it! but how to get it down? “Sim, let me stand on your shoulders,” El directs after a minute, assertive and without room for protest. “it’ll give me the height i need to cut it down with…er…this!” she picks up a sharp rock and demonstrates a sawing motion. sure, she could use claws to much better efficiency, but then she’d get vine stuck under her nails! ugh! blinking at her sister, El waits expectantly, eager to see if Sim will comply. she often plants little tests like this just to see how much she can get away with, how willing people are to listen to her, how far she can push before she gets snapped at. it’s the usual boundary pushing pups undergo, but hers serves as a fact finding mission. who can she wheedle in the future? who is most likely to indulge her antics, and who will draw hard lines? |

Simurgh waits, allowing her sister to look over the material for approval. Only the best will work for her sister as Sim knows, and as far as what was around them it was certainly the prettiest to look at. But getting it down would be another matter. It was higher than either of them was on their own. But El approved of it, and now they had to get it down so their game could continue. Simurgh looked up at the vine, her brow furrowing. If they had one of their father’s dogs with them they could stand on those… or… or it seemed that Elara had a plan! Simurgh looked back to her sister, arching a brow. Well, the logic was pretty sound. With both of them working together they should have enough height to reach it. And her sister even picked out a tool to cut through the vine. It worked for her at least! Sim gave a nod. “That should work. Great thinking!” The girl moved over to the tree and lowered herself down, looking over to her sister. “If I’m close to the tree you can brace against it as I get back up, so you won’t fall.” Simurgh tells her. Letting El get hurt was just out of the question. Now all she had to do was wait for Elara to get on her shoulders so she could hoist her up. |
