Our family isn't so little anymore
Tira and Asla

Mojito had no doubt that after the hectic night they'd had that the news would be travelling quickly. Still he waited until the sun was high in the sky just to make sure. He gently nudged the squirming little potatoes closer to him to make sure they stayed warm. Chūhai, Hanataro, Harumi, Osamu, Shochu, Tsuki, Umeshu. He nosed seven heads in turn as he told himself their names again. He'd told Nao he'd take over watching them, encouraged the man to get out, stretch his limbs, maybe find something for the two of them to eat. For now the puppies were subsisting on ewe's milk but he hoped they could find something a bit better, but hey they hadn't even been alive for a day yet so he thought they were doing pretty okay for something they'd never expected. And Mojito had no intentions of keeping the rest of his family out any longer. Hoa trotted off to go and let the two most important women in his life that they were free to come and visit if they wished, and to fill them in if somehow the news of their chaotic night hadn't yet reached them... But he assumed that there would soon enough be rumours of the two men who had had children... Despite neither of them having the correct physiology to do so... He was too tired to try and wrap his head around that one right now. For now he just wanted to bask in the warmth of the children and to invite his eldest to meet her younger siblings. Mojito wouldn't force Asla to be a part of their lives if she didn't want to be but he wanted to ask her at least, she was the mother of his daughter and he considered her more family than almost all the Kleins. Asla had been taking a much needed nap when she was summoned by Mojito. She knew that it had to be important. Usually he came to get her himself, but Hoa had come for her instead. With a yawn and a stretch, the blonde fae shook out her coat and followed him back to the den that Mo shared with Nao. She hoped that no one was injured. Asla was definitely not a healer.
Surprise!
The smell of fresh puppies was noted long before she laid eyes on them. Brows lifted and she moved more quickly into the den. "Mo?" Amethyst eyes adjusted to the change in light and Asla blinked down at the small, mewling puppies asleep in a warm nest of furs. More blinks of confusion followed before she tilted her head and looked at her friend. "Mojito, what in the hell?" He had some explaining to do.

A familiar form appeared in the mouth of the den and Mojito's tail gently brushed the ground as his oldest friend approached. Though he could only laugh as Asla spoke. "Your guess is as good as mine." He turned his gaze warmly down towards the small squirming shapes. "It shouldn't have been possible. Just trust me when I say based off of everything I've ever known about the lupine body there was no way to assume it was possible." Mojito lifted his gaze again to look at the cream woman, and his face shifted, worry, anxiety. "Asla I- I wanted to ask if you'd want to be a part of their lives. You're more family to me than any Klein I've ever known and the mother of their older sister... I won't force either you or Tira to be involved if you don't want to." Mojito cast his gaze down again, leaning forward to nose at the head of one of the boys. His son. His son. He'd told his daughter he wouldn't leave again, but what if she decided she didn't want anything to do with him after this? Could he handle being asked to choose? Would she think he was trying to replace her? Could he handle losing the only family he'd ever actually felt connected to, Asla included? Speech |

Any time Satira heard a call from her father, it felt like Christmas morning to the young wolf. Abandoning her project of reorganizing her herb and medicine stores, she trit-trotted her way out of her den and down the way to where her father and his mate had taken up residence. Mojito had also called for Asia, so she just hoped it wasn't anything serious or worrying that he needed their attention for. She arrived at the den just after she saw her mother's tan form disappear inside, following in shortly after her. She didn't catch the beginning of their conversation, but she did manage to overhear her father mentioning how she was the "mother of their sister" and that he "wouldn't force her to Tira into being involved with them". Slipping gracefully into the den, all smiles and charisma, Tira looked up at her parents and asked, "You won't force me to be a part of what?"
Her gaze turning downward, Satira's question was swiftly answered and all her cheeriness was swept away as confusion and bewilderment hit her like a tidal wave. There, nestled in a bundle of furs, were seven small puppies. At first, Tira didn't know what she was seeing. Mojito had somehow come into the possession of a half dozen new puppies—puppies that looked an awful lot like a blend of her father and his husband... The little wolf-dog's head cocked to one side, then to the other, just staring at them for a moment like she'd never seen creatures like them before in her life. Then she finally broke her silence with the only words she could think to muster up when faced with a perplexing scenario like the one she was currently facing. "Uhh... what the fuck, Dad?"

His daughter would arrive only shortly after he had given Asla the closest thing to an explanation he had. Such timing. Despite himself Mojito couldn't help but chuckle under his breath. Never got off easy did he? He let Satira process and then when she spoke again he laughed louder this time. "As I just got done telling your mother," he glanced at Asla, "I don't know. Just trust me when I say that with what we both know about how this normally works they should be an impossibility." He wasn't about to go in depth about that, both women would just need to trust that he knew what both he and Nao were working with and there wasn't a single womb between the two of them. He turned his attention back to the small squirming forms for a moment. "I was also asking your mother if she'd want to be in their lives. My family likely won't be and I'd frankly prefer it that way but that doesn't mean they can't have 'family' around." He looked back up, looking to meet his daughter's eyes. "But that said I won't blame you if you'd rather keep your distance. You'll be their older sister by parentage but I won't force anything on you that you're not comfortable with." Certainly Mojito wanted his daughter to be involved but he also knew he owed her the right to choose that for herself. "Whatever you choose, I love you." Yes, his attention was likely going to be on the younger pups for a time but he'd make a point of being with his daughter without them when he could, would respect her as the adult she was. Speech |
