While Valhalla was on a break, Eramaya was among those who had remained at the home grounds. She’d been traveling most of her life, and now, she had a garden and a hut that needed year-round care to keep tidy and healthy, even if the herbs and few vegetables were slumbering in this season.

The pack would rise again, in time. Those who had dilly-dallied about instead of making an effort would likely be cast out and prevented from returning unless they made a solid case to Ardyn once he returned and set the pack’s roots in place once more.

This day, she was rearranging the storage chamber in her hut, tucking away bandages and pots of salve after a sniff to check each and be sure they were still good.
