Together again

After letting Artorias know that Kipling and he had returned Rudyard made his way up the stairs and across the hallway to his room. His family’s room where Fern would be.  They had never been apart for such a long period of time.  He’d used Reddy as a messenger on occasion to let her know they were alive and well, to let her know when things took longer than expected and of course when they had started back.  

Kipling had gone before Rudy to see Fern so trying to surprise her on entry would be pointless.  He settled for just pushing open the door with his muzzle, stepping in with a smile ready for his wife.  “Hello my love.”
