Gavroche had decided that not only was he going to protect Ethne, but he was going to track down predators before they even made it to the borders! Without fear the boy had slipped into a neighboring territory, the cathedral where his past life had met his end. With collar and dagger held, he moved with Dawn and Jet in search of their opponent. The place stinked of big cats, and it wasn’t long until someone noticed the pixie boy and his companions moving through their domain. Golden eyes fixed on the yearling, ready to make a meal of the weird bird-wolf. She stalked forward, about to pounce when Jet noticed her, A warning call from the spider monkey had Gavroche spinning and leaping away from claws just in time.

Dawn was quick to mirror his movements, fur bristling as the Scottish fold hissed at the larger cat. Paws came again, and Gavroche leaped to catch onto the foreleg of the striped cat. He tasted blood, only this predator was a bit… smarter than others. Her limb slamming back down to the earth, the yearling hit it hard with a yelp, releasing the cat as pain shot through his side. Dawn was quick to leap onto the winged boy, hissing, spitting, and swiping claws at the tigress while the real distraction came from the spider monkey that had leaped on her back and made for her ears. With an ear in either hand he pulled back, a roar of pain leaving the tigress as she backed up and tried to buck the smaller creature off.
