Ely
Within the rugged landscape of the gorge, there roamed a massive black figure. His fur, as dark as the depths of night, bore countless scars etched into his hide. With eyes like gleaming emeralds, he surveyed his surroundings, a task set in his mind. An important one to accrue the strength he needed for his kin.
Caedes moved with the grace not often seen in a brute so large, his every step a testament to his predatory prowess. The gorge, with its towering cliffs and winding paths, was going to deliver him a proper challenge soon. He welcomed it.
His nostrils flared with the scent of bear. With a low growl, he set off deeper into the heart of the gorge, his instincts guiding him along hidden trails as he sought his target.
And that target would seek him out too, it’s hulking form lumbering through the pass, saliva dripping from its maw as it grunted and huffed. Caedes was prepared, coming into its view with an expressionless face, his shoulders squared in challenge.

After taking Aresenn’s lesson to heart about the materials needed to make weapons and armor for her family and associates, she had sat on that knowledge for a while. But with the tensions growing back home in the moor with the rumor of kidnapping and a chance at a pack. She decided to get off her ass and start foraging for precious metals.
She had been gone from the moor for roughly a week now, and she was growing bored of her task. As she’d found absolutely nothing so far. And she’d traveled back up north passing a familiar path that had once brought her home to her family. That had set her life’s purpose in motion.
Strange how that would be how she found herself here, hot on the trail of a bear. Itching for the bloodshed that would renew her passion for hunting down metals and leather.
It didn’t take her long to follow the tail until the Bear in question came into view along with the scarred up body of a stranger. Without wasting time she jumped into action. Flanking the bear from behind she shot the stranger a glance and nodded her head.
”Ill follow your lead” she called out. Muscles tensed as she waited for the stranger to initiate the fight.
Imagine the brute's surprise when, at the moment that he was challenging the bear, his hackles raised and his weight evenly distributed, a stranger appeared and offered her help. Caedes had only looked away from the bear for a moment, just long enough to glance at the girl, before grunting in indifference and releasing a powerful snarl. It succeeded in getting the beast’s attention, the bear shifting from lumbering oaf to volatile roaring in seconds. The Saxe male grinned in anticipation of blood shed, his shoulders rolled and his muscles tensed before exploding into motion. He lunged for the bear’s face, dodging a snap of its massive jaws as he tore at its soft snout. He made purchase before leaping backwards, narrowly avoiding a furious set of claws that tried to bat him away.

And like that, the hunt was on. She watched the male engage the bear, and heard its roar as it reverberated off the trees. With smirk and some side stepping she launched herself atop its back as she had seen one of her bandmates do when they’d fought a polar bear once. Digging her claws into is back she bit down on its ear, tugging as she tried to pull its attention from its first attacker.
With a grunt she held on tight as the bear reared up, shaking as if it could toss her off. She dug her nails in deeper as she fought to stay on top of the beast. It let out another roar. Growing even more annoyed at her antics.
She finally released its ear and dropped off its back. Recuperating in time as the bear whirled on her now. She squared off with it, not a lick of fear anywhere on her features as she growled at it.
Caedes had a moment to observe his little helped atop the bear’s back, his eyes flashing dangerously as he lunged forward again, the bear momentarily distracted by the girl’s antics. He shot forward powerfully, the bear whirling as it turned to face its pest. It gave Caedes the chance to change tactics and leap onto its back for himself. His massive frame unbalanced the bear as his jaws clamped down on its nape. He tore and he shook, the bear letting loose a horribly pained symphony of roars. He kept at it, exposing more and more of the beast’s flesh and tissue – its hide giving way in a mortal wound. But he would not stop there. He would not stop until the bear fell and it's breath ceased.

Ely almost laughed as the stranger used her approach of attack. Having launched himself on top of the bears back now that she had dismounted it. She shook her head, it appeared they’d both decided riding bear back was the way to get the job done.
She jumped back into action, dancing around the bears reach as it swung at her instinctively as her partner ripped the back of it’s neck open.
She used her size to launch an attack closer to its soft underside. aiming calculated bites and swiped into the bears side.
Caedes continued to tear and rip, and rend the bear's nape asunder. He was within the thrall of bloodlust, drinking up every gush of blood, every other chunk he took from it swallowed whole like a ravenous mutt. Caedes was deaf to it's roars that steadily dissolved into whimpers of pain, the bear beginning to sway, beginning to succumb to it's injuries as it exhausted itself trying to throw the dire brute off -- unable to defend itself against the woman's assault as it slowed. Caedes allowed his weight to topple the bear over, his teeth still gnawing as it struggled, jaws finally locking around an important bit - snap.
He grinned in satisfaction, the bear's fight was over. A resounding loss, and a win for the two wolves. He disembarked from it's body, blood dripping from his chin as he shot his impromptu hunting partner a look of measured regard.

Elysia watched as the man dismounted the corpse. Dripping in blood as he finally regarded her with his full attention. She offered him a dazzling victory smile before she turned her body to face him fully. Studying the scars that adorned his frame.
She didn’t care if it seemed rude to stare. She continued to let her eyes take over his body before she finally landed on his bright green eyes. “I’m Elysia”
The woman cast him a smile, wide and pleased with herself. He cocked an eyebrow but remained otherwise unaffected, his hulking form dwarfing her as he stepped closer. One he was aligned with her, his gaze focused and intensified as she stared. Seemingly taking in his features. He did not waver, instead his skull lowered slightly to level with his shoulders — silently challenging her to speak or fight him next if she continued to ogle him. Her name came easily, and he contemplated leaving without a word but decided in the end that his little helper deserved his name — at the very minimum. "Caedes."

“So tell me Caedes,”she drawled as she too took a few steps closer. Invading his personal space now. “What’s a girl gatta do to get to know you, hmm?” She practically purred at him as she batted her eyes.
He stared back, his gaze that of clinical detachment. She drew closer, testing the waters, pushing him for reaction. His emerald gaze was invasive as he stood there, unmoving while she edged closer and closer to him. Yowling about getting to know him, something he was not interested in in the slightest. Really, he felt disgusted — she wasn’t Mariah.
But instead of stepping away, he advanced on her. Pushing into her space, nearly slamming into her as he cranes his neck to look down at her. Emerald gaze narrowed, amusement playing there. “Elysia,” His shadow consumed her smaller figure, lips dropping a hair’s breadth away from the shell of her ear where his voice, deep and resonant, rumbled. It was as though he was reciprocating, throwing her a bone — and then crudely ripping it away. “This is nothing but a nuisance, a bothersome distraction I can no longer tolerate.” His tone was matter-of-factly as his words cut through the air like a knife, devoid of warmth and monotonous. The obsidian brute’s bloody lips cracked wickedly as he smirked, the woman’s fearless ardor a source of amusement. But her flirtation was detestable at best. “Maybe you can fuck the bear.” He chuckled brutally, shrugging towards the object in question with a scarred shoulder. With that the brute pushed past her, shoulder crashing into her own as he set off to leave her with the bear’s cooling carcass.

“Seems someone doesn’t get laid Enough” she tsked, giving him a smirk of her own “because I only asked to get to know you Tally Marks,” she paused after bestowing the new nickname for the scarred man before her. “you brought sex into it. Maybe you should fuck the bear, you clearly need it more” she jabbed.
She let him brush past her as she stepped towards home. “Can’t wait to see you again Tally Marks” she called over her shoulder tauntingly as she made her way away from the bear’s corpse and the man of marred flesh.
