Come down, come down sweet reverence
Skirting around the packs that had nestled in the center of the land between between the two continents, Jynn worked her way up into the mountains. She could only go so far east and now she turned south, wandering over the mountains that covered the crypts below. She was more interested in risking the treacherous climb rather than going down underground again. Her stomach rumbled. Maybe she should break for some food. Jynn paused as she did her scouting. Off in the distance she spied a small herd of dall sheep. They were nimble, swift and were likely going to be difficult to catch especially alone.

Hunger gnawed at her belly, and instead of taking from the packs cache, she was in the mood to hunt instead. There was no better satisfaction then bringing down her own prey. Fresh food was better than day old food, and she was wanting to sink her claws and teeth into something. After rolling in a patch of fresh earth for no reason other than pleasure, the woman shook off the extra dirt and made her way toward the crypt. She climbed upwards instead, however, knowing that sheep would be somewhere along the crags and crevices as opposed to the depths of the caverns in the crypt. She knew these lands well, and after having explored the Maw and the Stone Steppe, her footwork was more nimble. Gimli, of course, could do it easier, but that was due to his much smaller size. She was a big girl, and so she had to be a bit more careful. Her ravens spotted the sheep somewhere on the rocks, and they circled back to let her know where. It would be difficult to catch one on her own, but it would appear to be her lucky day because they had also spotted a long-legged creature up ahead, too. Perfect. Whoever it was could help her, so Brida climbed the paths until she spotted what her ravens had found. She had no qualms in asking the woman for aid, after all, perhaps the stranger was seeking the same thing. "Are you looking for the sheep as well?" She asked as she approached. |

ooc: So sorry I forgot this! I know it's super old but I'd love to continue it. ><
Jynn settled in to watch the sheep, her eyes scouting not only the herd but the terrain as well. She needed to pick a weak target and then find the course of action that would lead to her desired outcome for while she was fleet-footed she was not nearly as nimble as the sheep. Jynn was lost in her thoughts and almost didn't hear the other wolf approach. It was the flash of blue in the corner of her eye that brought her attention to a love, and very tall woman. Jynn smiled and nodded before replying in a hushed tone. "There's a small herd of them down there. The one farthest west seems to be sickly. I think if we can each get on one side of it we can drive it down the smoother paths rather than having it escape along something we can't climb as well."
With the plan in place she slunk forward, carefully working her way along the rocks. It was slow going. Jynn wanted to be careful and a loose rock could give away her position. Hopefully the sheep were like the deer and unable to see the orange of her coat. A few of the sheep looked up and she froze until they went back to grazing. Once she was sure her partner was in place she kicked off and charged for the sickly sheep.

Marrow
Marrow was where she wasn't supposed to be and now she'd gotten herself in a mess. While exploring the mountains she'd gotten herself turned around. Not only was she unsure where to go but she was having a terribly time securing prey by herself on the tough terrain. Her stomach gurgled, twisting painfully in her stomach. She crept down the mountainside, searching for a viable path when she spied the dall sheep. Marrow crouched down amongst the rocks, knowing full well she wouldn't be able to catch oneā¦ not alone anyway.
Marrow's ear's flicked forward as she caught a glimpse of two wolves stalking toward the sheep. She recognized the lanky one as Jynn! Jynn would share! Marrow's aching stomach drove her forward to lay in wait across from the other two. She watched as the blue one moved around to the opposite side as well. Jynn crept closer and soon sprang at the sheep, scattering them across the mountainside.
Watching closely Marrow determined the target and sprang for it. Her coat appeared like snow on the mountain, her form barely distinguishable until she was almost on the sheep. Her jaws lanced out at the creature as it deftly turned down the mountainside. Success! Her fangs snagged a hind leg, causing the sheep to stumble.

Come down, come down sweet reverence
Jynn raced after the sheep, her nimble limbs helping her to keep up with her prey. Even sickly it was still quite agile. She did her best to herd it toward Brida when all of a sudden a form morphed out of the snow, barreling toward the sheep. Marrow! Jynn recognized the yearling and felt a pang of sympathy for her. She knew the girl struggled at times to keep fed. What the hell was she doing up here? There was no time to ponder for as Marrow attacked and caught the sheep it suddenly stumbled. Seeing her opportunity, Jynn sprang, jaws latching around its throat. She held on tight as it struggled and soon the wolves had their meal.
