Their family was settled into Ethne, refugees after the fall of their pack, and now that the dust had settled Beauregard needed to speak with his boy. Poor Nolan had been so distraught that once Beau had gotten everyone settled into their dens that he scooped his son close and held him as weariness settled over his body. He worried about The Syndicate, wolves that would tear his family apart… Wolves that would tear any family apart. The fact that they had taken and threatened his son didn’t sit well with him… but Nolan was a child. He couldn’t risk his son, risk his packmates… he didn’t doubt that these wolves would make good on their promise to hunt his pack down. Was taking them over worth it, he wondered?

It was still early when he rose, scooping his still slumbering boy up by the scruff. He was getting so big! Beauregard would carry him away from the rest of them, out into the open since he was sure his little one would be emotional once they began to talk of things. But Beauregard was far from angry with his son. Once he had walked out into the territory and found a spot for them to sit he set Nolan down, nuzzling his son gently. “Hey kiddo, how are you holding up?”
