Coran journeyed through the redwater walks and down the other side to the edge of Wolfpaw Lake. It was a reasonable journey and he had to admit that the landscape bordering his homelands was lovely if arid. The late afternoon sun warmed his back as he settled down next to the lake. It was a gorgeous day, barely any wind and warm for autumn.
Coran carried a piece of deer hide in his jaws that he intended to work into a pair of bracers to help keep his wrappings on. Well, if it worked out ok. He had never tried anything like this before so there was a good chance his first attempt would be a fail. Coran took the leather in his jaws and started working on cutting a rough piece that would fit around one of his front legs. He chewed thoughtfully as he worked, using his teeth to cut the deer hide to fit. This would be easier with some sort of knife, maybe like the girl Bellatrix had, but for now he'd work with the tools at hand.
