Strong for somebody else

He felt hollow. A disappointment to ethne. A failure. He'd failed his own child. Baecette was gone, how were he and Lucy meant to move on?

They couldn't.

But he moved still. A bouquet in his maw for the graves of Ethne. His children seemed to distance themselves after they had returned. He was still their father though. His only ear pressed. He had a purpose today. He was going to speak with his sons, then if he could find them, his daughters. He needed to make sure they knew he loved them each still.

He stopped outside Jericho's den, a muffled bark of summoning for him. Though he wasn't waiting, he turned his body and slowly moved towards the graves. Their family needed to face this and conquer the grief. Each would have their turn to yell, cry and to come to hate him. He'd hate it, but he would still work as their father to protect them all as best he could.
