It was good to be back.

Fuji had settled into her duties as though she had never left. The new knowledge her grandmother had imparted had her itching to expand her repertoire, make sure she had anything and everything on hand for when things (inevitably) went to shit again. It was what had sent her onto the main continent, completely forgetting the seasons were... switched up here. She grumbled as she shuffled through the undergrowth, the cat at her side all but towering over her as they picked their way between the trees, looking for any fungi that had survived the dustings of snow.

Shit out of luck so far.
