He hadn't been here in a while, but he was itching to stretch his legs and sink his teeth and claws into something today! The skeletal marked youth slunk across the battlefield, bi-colored eyes seeking out a potential victim sparring partner that would be up for wetting his teeth and giving him a good fight! His mongoose trailed behind him, picking up rocks and flinging them as he went while scurrying to catch up every other step. The Mortem child was still a greenhorn when it came to fighting others, but he was determined to catch up and learn the ins and outs in an effort to make mother dearest, proud! Without pausing his stride, the boy threw his head back and howled, calling a challenger (or challengers) to meet him here. Whoever it turned out to be, he would do his best in taking them down!

The massive woman was becoming a regular here, on the battlefield. Finding catharsis in the bloodshed and bruises made at this place.

Today would be no different.

From the distance, the younger male looked like what she could only assume was his mother. Medusa! Thrilled, Enyo would pad over quickly. Hoping to spar yet again, finding joy in such a challenging opponent. Finding pride in a fellow woman. Although, it would not be her. The pelt had too much black, the skull markings seemed more thorough. It was... a boy. Or a young man. Either way, he was old enough to fight Enyo.

"You! Boy!", her thick voice vibrated off the field, as she approached her heavy body crunching over dry blades of grass, "You are one of Medusa's? Let us see if you inherited her innate skill."

With that she would prepare herself to spar. The woman would give the boy the first move. Lowering herself and building up tension to strike.

His call had been answered! He turned to find someone calling to him, one of the newer members. One of the ones that were all black and white and patchy! Oh fun! He whipped around to face her, tail wagging ecstatically as he cackled with glee. "Yes, yes! Mother Medusa!" He exclaimed, pausing for a moment with a head tilt. Inherited her innate skill? Oh darn. Well he didn't know about that part, after all, he was still pretty young, and Mother Medusa had years of experience ahead of him. This big woman, though, how would she do? Had Mother Medusa whooped her ass?? He seldom saw his mother lose a fight, though he knew she wasn't invincible, but still! Bi-colored gaze remained on the monochromatic woman as she made her intent to fight clear. And Ripper wasted no time. With all the grace of a leggy, unbalanced foal, the skeletal marked boy ran at her, cackling as his eyes blazed with a sort of crazed look as he sought to come up on her head on. Jaws gaped open, crooked and serrated teeth looking to bite and grab the side of the woman's neck while his talons aimed to score down her chest. He, of course, was probably nowhere near as heavy and bulky as she was, but the young male didn't care as he seemed to fight with wild abandon and with a similar feral style to Medusa...just with less experience. Enyo's lip curled in amusement as she watched Ripper’s wild, chaotic charge. Typical. The yearling came at her with all the reckless energy of youth, but she had fought enough to recognize the difference between fury and precision. He was all flailing limbs and teeth, not unlike his mother in spirit, but lacking the refined brutality that came with age and experience. Lucky for him, Enyo saw potential and was in a teaching mood because of it.

As Ripper lunged, aiming for her neck, Enyo remained still, waiting for the perfect moment. When he was close enough, jaws wide and talons outstretched, she moved.

With a swift pivot of her powerful frame, she sidestepped his attack, using her larger size and muscular build to slam her broad shoulder into his thinner side. The impact was meant to throw him off balance, sending him staggering or toppling altogether.

Before he could recover, Enyo lowered her head, aiming a sharp bite at the loose skin of his scruff. She didn’t aim to pierce deeply, just enough pressure to make her point. Using her grip she would attempt to toss the boy with all her strength a few feet away if possible.

"You’ve got the spirit, but you lack the discipline." Her eyes flashed dangerously as attempted to hold him in place, daring him to push further. "Try again, and do it right this time." Whether he did or not, she did not care. If the boy wanted a lesson or two after, she would be willing to accommodate.
