It was always bears, wasn't it? The grizzly had peeled itself from between two glowing stones that were leaning against one another. It growled low at Quill, warning him to go away, but that wasn't in the cards. He needed to go through this area to get back to The Hallows. Sorry, teddy bear. He was going through.

The bear reared and roared and Quill snapped and snarled. He did make an effort to skirt around the bear in the hopes that the dumb idiot would realize he didn't want a fight, but... bears were stupid. The grizzly rushed him and Quill leaped back, narrowly avoiding a swiping paw. Teeth bared, the dire brute lunged at the ursine, catching the paw between his jaws and shaking his head back and forth, ripping flesh and filling his maw with blood.

The dark milk chocolate woman wasn't far away, she never really was. As she was making her way around the lands of Auster she found herself at the runestones. The sound of a bear ripping her attention away from her task at hand, a flash of silvery grey's. The bear glared at the brute. Hala found herself drawing closer towards the odd duo, a large brute taking a bear on himself? Was he stupid? A growl was released from Hala, fire like pools watching for a moment before the wolf jumped and latched onto a swiping paw.

The woman hunkered down for a moment, sizing up the two strangers. Fur bristled upon end as Hala didn't care for the sight of the bear, wanting to get it away from the other as quick as possible. She was skilled but also very careful in her steps that would draw her closer. Her nostrils flared as she would throw herself into the fight. A warning snarl was given forth. Soon she had thrown herself at the hindquarters of the bear latching down but not getting a good grip on the bear. So Hala released, the bear continued to try and shake the wolf from his paw.

Growing angry Hala threw herself near the bears side, her teeth latching there as she danced on her back paws shaking her own skull to and fro. The sound of tearing flesh ripping threw the air. Hala's tail offering little balance as front paws would try to dig into flesh more.

As seemed to be the way, another wolf showed up and began attacking the bear. Quill took the opportunity of a distraction to readjust his attack. As the woman bit at the bears side, the dire brute leaped upon the bears back. He bit into one rounded ear and pulled hard, the piece of flesh and cartilage shredding easily between his teeth. The bear thrashed its head, trying to rid itself of the canine jockey upon it and Quill relented, pushing off and landing on the ground at a run.

The bear swung about and began moving towards Quill. Blood poured down the side of its head. The same side that the woman had shredded. It staggered for a moment as though trying to decide if it should stay and fight or run. Quill would allow it to run if it wanted to, but he'd also fight if it wanted to.

Hala's grip upon the bear was unrelenting, she listened and watched as best she could to what the masculine was attempting to do, her claws meeting that of flesh finally and gripping harder down onto the bears side. Blood pouring down over her facial features releasing a muffled growl. Hala soon allowed herself to release.

Her lips pulled back as tongue lapped at her nose. A deep growl slipping out, as hackles rose. Eyes never leaving that of the bear. The snapping of jowls opening and snapping shut was the only sound one could hear from her besides the growls that escaped her throat in a threatening manner. Hala was in no mood at all to deal with another, especially that of the bear species.

A problem is what these large creatures were. Towers pressed against her skull as eyes watched and waited for the bears next move.

The bear, bleeding, slightly mangled and confused, stuttered in its movements. Quill snarled, curved canines exposed. The brutes thick mane bristled further as he took rigid steps towards the ursine menace. He couldn't spare a glance for the woman, his gaze locked hard upon that of the bear.

Suddenly, the bear turned and began to run. Instinctively, Quill gave chase. He placed a few well aimed bites to the bears backside as it flew out of the clearing and into the surrounding woods. Only then did Quill come to a gradual halt, pink and aqua eyes locked on the tree line for some time until he was certain that the bear wasn't just regaining its composure to return for round two.

Her heart raced as a guttural rumble erupted within Hala's chest, watching the bear run. A part of her wanted to race after it but figuring it wouldn't do no good to do so. It'd just cause another fight, something she did not want to partake in. Even being around someone else - she wasn't fond of it, for a lot of the time others looked down to her. Although Hala understood why and didn't disagree with any of it, it just didn't lay right with her.

The woman stood there, catching her breath and cleaning her maw of the bears blood. Savoring the copper iron rich taste, before turning her attention to the dire wolf in front of her a little ways ahead. "You are fine, yes?" She asked, the Irish accent rich upon her tongue as she spoke out. Her tail falling still behind her as a tilt of her skull offered, carefully moving towards the larger brute. Stopping a few inch's in front of him.
