Apocalyptic Dreams
Hellborn investigation!
Widow knew two things - she was most certainly pregnant and this time it was not because of the cryptic red sky, radiating from Boreas. The morning sickness sucked, but it wouldn’t prevent her from grabbing her children and a few others from Hellborn to go an investigate the mysterious phenomenon. She couldn’t take everyone though even if she doubted anything would happen from the surrounding packs. She expected everyone to be busy investigating as well, or preparing for some apocalypse that was sure to happen. Something had happened every year of her life so far, so frankly, the massive woman wasn’t surprised something was, yet again, plaguing the land with potential threats and risks.
Upon arriving at what she know knew was ground zero for the red sky, Widow looked the massive spires. These had certainly not been here before, assuming that they had come with the tremors and ominous sky. Looking over to those that had joined her, her tone was calm but serious. They needed to stay safe. ”Look around, make note of anything that seems abnormal. These definitely weren’t here before, so anything could potentially be a clue. Let me know what you find, but most importantly, be careful. This place could be dangerous,” she said with a final sigh and moved off towards one of the spires to investigate.

The world had been cast into a darkness that the yearling had never experienced before. Tremors that began subtle, and gradually increased until they became violent with each passing hour during the night. He hadn't slept all night, his senses screaming in every possible way. This wasn't right. It wasn't normal. Never before had he experienced such a thing, so it confused him that his mother was so calm throughout. Still, when she called for a party to go investigate, his curiosity would get the better of him, and so he went on the journey to Boreas to see what was going on. Despite the clear difference in weather between Auster and Boreas, it didn't seem to change the fact that the same strange, red glow was cast over the sky on both sides. |
Widow had wandered off as Howl did and went to study a spire of her own. She kept a close eye on her son though, just in case anything happened. However despite the strange feeling she had, she couldn’t sense any immediate threat. These were just stone spires, suddenly protruding from the ground. She didn’t have the first clue as to why they were here or why the sky was now red, but she tried to stay positive… or at least keep her expressions neutral to not cause her pack or her children any worry.
Howls voice redirected her attention and she moved to be by his side, studying the carvings. Widow could read yes, but not this… this was different, hard to understand. Another language maybe? She wasn’t sure, but wished she had something she could write on to take the inscriptions back for studying. ”I’m not sure either,” she said, pursing her lips to keep herself from frowning and letting the worry show on her face. ”let’s keep looking though, maybe we’ll find something else we can figure out,” her expression changed into a soft smile as she spoke, motioning with her head to follow her to the next one as she began to move towards another spire.
