Room to Grow
Oath
There would be a bit of a swim involved, for everyone, but the security of such an entry would have surpassed any reason for not making it across. Of course, should anyone have trouble they would help, but it was a relatively easy swim across. High tide had come and gone, leaving low and easy waters to swim across. Oath and Atreyu would have no issue with it, Azriel would be fine as well as Alaric, Fairytale she worried about. One wrong wave could knock her glasses from her face and she wouldn't be able to see well enough to keep up with them. Atreyu would keep her close, then, to ensure her head stayed above water so to speak. Vayne would also be able to make the trip with no trouble, Petra may have some trouble because of her eye...Perhaps she should put Azriel to swim with her, just to ensure they all made it.
What lay in wait was worth the swim, a veritable cornucopia of resources on the island she had found Azriel on. He had made a mention to her about wanting to travel back to this place, and she would oblige him. There were plenty of things here to keep them fed and watered, there was a shelter already made and ready to be lived in. Yes, for Atreyu this place made sense, but what would the rest of the band think? When they made it to the shore, Atreyu smiled as she shook the saltwater from her spotted fur and looked over at her brother, black sclera making the holographic silver-to-lavender stand out. "What do you think, Oath?" She asked him, looking around before those trademarked eyes landed on the concrete tower in the distance. They would stay here for the season, weather it out until she could find more permanent lodgings for her growing family.

Oath followed his sister’s steady pace with a calm interest, casting a glance back over his shoulder to ensure the others had crossed the stretch of water without trouble. The salty wind tugged at his fur as he came to stand beside her on the shore, his eyes tracing the landscape with a curious gleam. Atreyu had picked a unique spot this time, and he could already see the appeal: a fortress of nature on all sides, with the shelter and resources they needed.
He shook out his coat, letting the droplets scatter around him, and took a deep breath of the sea air. “I think you’ve outdone yourself, Trey. Feels solid here, secluded but open. Could be just what we need for the season.” He paused, glancing toward the concrete tower she’d pointed out in the distance. He could already envision exploring every inch of this place with her.
A thought struck him, and he chuckled quietly. “Actually, you might have just inspired me. There are a few places east I want to check out… y’know, find something special for Fairytale.. give her a night she deserves.” His gaze softened for a moment, thinking of her, before he looked back at Atreyu. “Let’s settle here, and maybe soon, I’ll take a trip that way.”

Oath spoke again, pulling her from her thoughts and planting a giant grin on her face. "It makes me so happy to hear you say that! I know there is a beach to the east, its shore, and waters glow in the night. Might be worth checking out." She hated to cloud his date venue hunt with duty, but perhaps they could kill two birds with one stone... "Would you mind if I sent you on a diplomatic mission while you look for a spot? I find we are sorely lacking friends in this new place, and I need to know who our neighbors are. We could go around together, if you wish." She needed to know what kind of wolves lived around them, but more than that, this was a bit of a test for Oath. He would make a fine diplomat to be sure, if that was what he wished for, and Atreyu hoped he was willing to take this trip with her. It would take them away from the band for a while, but it was necessary for them to grow as a band - and maybe one day as a pack once more.

Oath watched his sister closely as she voiced her thoughts, studying her excitement with admiration in his own eyes. There was no doubt in his mind that she would succeed with what she wanted, and he wanted it too. The desire for a more permanent home was contagious, stirring something within him - a sense of pride and purpose he hadn't quite felt before. To be more than a band? That was a dream. The idea of Judila finally settling and finding roots made his heart beat a little faster, a warmth spreading through his chest at the thought.
"Maybe we are meant to be here," he said thoughtfully, his cyan gaze looking to the island as if it could somehow answer him. "It feels like this place is waiting for us to make our mark, like it's calling to us." He shifted his weight, his tail flicking with energy, and met her gaze, eyes bright with the thrill of the unknown. "If you are ready to make a home here, I'll do everything I can to help. We can make this place ours - safe, strong, a place for our family."
Her suggestion of the glowing beach to the east drew a curious tilt of his head. A night-lit shore sounded like something out of a dream, a beautiful place to take Fairytale and impress her with a sight unlike any other. But as Atreyu continued, mentioning the need for diplomacy, Oath's expression turned serious. She was right; if they wanted to make this place truly theirs, they couldn’t ignore the other packs nearby.
“I think that’s a perfect idea,” he said, nodding. “Meeting our neighbors could be the start of something good for us… and besides, it sounds like an adventure.” He chuckled, trying to lighten the moment. “And you know me... I love an excuse to go exploring.”
Then he grinned, his voice eager but steady. “If it’s alright with you, I’d like to go ahead and scout some nearby groups. I’ll keep my eyes and ears open, see if I can make us some allies.”
Oath’s gaze softened, a glint of pride flickering in his eyes. “Whatever we find out there, we’ll bring it back to Judila. We’ll make sure this place isn’t just a dream, but a reality - something we can hold on to for generations to come.”
