Chain keeps us together
Damira

"There's my little girl," he said with a chuckle as he padded up to sit alongside Damira, settling onto his haunches with a relieved sigh. He started flexing each of his large forepaws and loosening up the sore joints from the long walk back onto the island after going out to the nearby packs to check in with their leaders. Some of the strange and concerning occurrences that had taken place across both continents had him on edge, but he did his best not to show his concern to his children. He never wanted to downplay the dangers of the world, but he also didn't want them to fear every shadow and rock. They were strong, capable wolves no matter how much he wished he could keep them as the small pups he still saw them as for as long as possible.
It was beginning to ease into evening now, the sky beginning to darken and shift colors with the sunset. There was a couple hours still before they would be in full darkness, but the days were certainly growing shorter with the colder weather. As he let his muscles relax and recover from the trip, he looked over to his daughter with a curious glance. "You look like you have something on your mind, Damira. What is it?" As dark and as uncertain as the world could feel at times, he hoped he could at least keep their home here feeling safe and light. He knew that didn't mean that concerns wouldn't creep in here all the same, but at least he was here to try and dispel what he could.
"Deimos Mendacium"

OOC: note to self, im timelining this before her worm thread
Damira did not speak right away, her brows furrowed as she stared out at the sea beyond the Island; the unknown expanse beyond. All of this had put things into perspective and much like her Grandfather before her, Damira had come to realise she was not so fond of change, that she liked things as they were and so they ought to stay that way. But even now she realised how unrealistic that was, that the peace and comfort she knew wouldn't last forever.
She exhaled, finding herself leaning Deimos' shoulder; she would never quite reach his heights or feats of strength as was simply more like her mother, with deep purples thrown into the mix. Damira thought she'd be able to hide her disquiet, but Deimos knew- because how could he not? Her lips were pursed, pulled back all tight and a tension had settled along her spine, sat more rigid than she used to, with her tail curled a little tighter around her haunch.
"I've heard things, that there are monsters out there. A disease." They were just rumours as far as she knew, but she supposed she wanted...reassurance, was it something to worry about?
