Hackles raised and fangs bared Drashiel dove for the branch that was protruding haphazardly from a fallen log, parallel to the ground. Fangs sunk in and he thrashed his head. The branch crunched between his teeth like he imagined bone would and then he finally released it panting, before backing up, squaring his stance and preparing himself mentally to strike again. In truth though he knew he needed more practice. Drashiel knew of some defenses and attacks from watching others but he still had a ways to go before he'd be strong enough to help defend his pack. He knew Argent would call them together soon and he wanted to be ready. Especially for S'alkrie. They were going to become the best fighters in the whole pack he just knew it!

Panting he looked to the sky at the afternoon sun. Still plenty of hours left in the day and Drashiel needed to work on his hunting as well before settling himself down to make the decision of what he wanted to do with his life. Where would he be of most use to his pack and father? At the moment he was leaning toward warrior. He was built more for it being a large and sturdy male with rather thick, strong legs. He was growing into himself quite well and couldn't wait til he'd be considered an adult. Drashiel would make his pack proud.

ooc| i'm timing this just before Roman leaves for Tortuga, if that's alright.

She knew she would be taking her leave from Glaciem soon. Though the world away from the pack and family she had come to know was daunting she felt restless and ready for it. Her father was placing her at the throne of the Tortugan empire, and in a few days time she would take her leave from the arctic throws of his empire and move on to her own. She did doubt her abilities, despite how confident that she would try to appear to everyone else. She figured if she could act it out, she'd eventually believe it as well. A queen couldn't afford to doubt herself, she'd have to push these feelings aside. This would be on of her last patrols here, and she was pleasantly surprised to catch the scent a fellow pack member, that she recognized. Turning towards the scent, she picked up her pace into an easy going trot her violet eyes looking for him. When she caught him in her gaze she watched as he seemed to be attacking a branch, and she chuckled loudly before approaching him from behind.

"Careful there, you'll soon be a deadly force." She'd speak softly. She hadn't seen the child since the polar bear incident. She would rest back on her haunches, from her distance, violet eyes watching him with a soft smile on her face. She would miss some of her siblings when she left. She'd miss getting to see them grow.

Speech,

Drashiel Armada

Drashiel mentally ran through the notes he'd taken at the challenges. He'd watched his father and Artemis and Valhallans spar? he'd seen his first saying. The boy closed his eyes for a moment. See another slain in such a manner? he knew that as a warrior and defender of his pack that he'd be expected to kill and to do so without hesitation. He needed to prepare himself for that day.

"Careful there, you'll soon be a deadly force."

Drashiels eyes snapped open as he whirled around to face Roman. His eyes drifted almost immediately to the scars on her hip. Scars received for saving him from an attacking polar bear. Scars that probably should of been his? a soft smile tugged at his maw at her comment but it faded quickly.

"Miss Roman. I? I never got to thank you for saving me when that bear attacked. I want to say thank you and I'm so, so sorry about your hip. That was stupid of me." If he'd been smarter and stronger it wouldn't have happened. It burned in the back of his head. So much to do and learn and soon summer would fade to autumn and he'd be a year old. Drashiel needed to get better. He had too.
