Obsidian sand would begin to glow brightly as the moon finally peeked through the patch of clouds masking its glow. Cerulean gaze would fall from the sky and toward the changing sand, each step leaving a distinct paw print behind as she strode on. She carried herself flawlessly across the terrain despite the trail she was leaving behind, paws barley touching the earth as she seemed to float above the ground. Some odd force had managed to pull the vixen here, perhaps it had been the mesmerizing scenery, or the compelling tide. She had never seen the ocean before tonight, and it was marvelous. Though the real reason for her being here was the haunting memory of Drake, her long lost friend who's voice whispers sweet beckons into the deep folds of her mind. She had done well ignoring the temptations of others, but it only took a few seasons until curiosity got the best of her. She had allowed the sheer power of the boy's magnetic personality to bring her out of hiding. Because this beach had been the last place she had heard he was living in, she would circle the beach once, twice, then once more, and still find herself with nothing. She was beginning to give up, but hope would drive the determined babe forward, as his scent could be somewhere here and strong enough for her to follow.

Quiet was the cove he chose to reside in. A hermit upon the beach, remaining in solitude since after the war that had happened some while ago. The boy lied there in the darkness, aqua blue gaze glazed over, watching something unseen. His home was hidden well, a gaping crevice a little offshore but right up against the cliff side. During high tide, one would have to swim within the yawning mouth and clamber onto the land inside, during the low tide one just had to wade to get to it. Tonight, he wanted to die. To not live to see another day. His brother was probably still out to get him, his sister probably still lost...and he? Would he soon become lost? Forgotten in a world that didn't care about him? He didn't know anyone here, he vaguely remember the woman of Ludicael, whom he quickly regretted meeting after his 2nd attempt at opening up to someone, someone had taken her fancy before his very eyes...and the 1st attempt? It pained him to even think about it.

White lids closed over his aqua gaze, trying to shut the pain of the memory out. His emotions would threaten him again, but he'd push them to the back of his mind. Face it...you'll never be happy. A voice in the back of his head would whisper to him, taunting. A sigh escaped his lips, pained. And then, a scent entering the damp air to infiltrate his senses. Eyes opened slowly, staring at the wall before him for a brief moment before he slowly pulled himself to his feet. Glancing about, he saw no one...where was the scent coming from? Even more peculiar, why did it smell vaguely familiar? Drake decided to move, striding forward into the shallow waters that would take him to the rest of the beach. Following along the cliff wall, he moved in ankle deep waters until he was upon the dryer sand moments later. He gazed about, the moon casting its glow on the dark beaches. Creating shadows on the sand, while illuminating other parts.

Quietly and carefully the youth walked forward, wary gaze on the lookout for danger. But all seemed well, and still...the scent drew him forward. His gaze soon found the foot prints within the sand, and curiously he stared. He followed them for a minute or two, stopping over a low sand rise before staring across the shores once more. And not far from where he stood, was a figure. Illuminated by the moons rays, the scent carried to him by the wind; stronger and steadily grew familiar. Eyes widened in disbelief, mouth slightly open. He appeared as if he was staring at a ghost...and in his mind, he couldn't tell if this was real, or if it was a dream. "I-It can't be..." He whispered quietly.

A mummer would cause the babe to spin quickly around, right front paw touching farther forward than the others as she faced him, her body ready to accelerate forward. It took a few seconds for her eyes to adjust to see him, but once his distinctive features became visible she would realize who it was- Drake. "He is still here!" The charcoal vixen would stride toward him, lengthy tail flowing elegantly behind her as she seemed to float above the earth. As she had grown in Glaciem she had acquired a balletic stride and had perfected her body's movements. As a woman beneath a thirsty king the siren had learned to use her body to get attention, as it was the only way to attain her kings attention when she desired it. The babe would come to a stop before the young man and proceed to extend her neck out and sniff him curiously, wishing to know if he belonged to a pack. He smelt of nothing but ocean and pine, which brought a smile to her lips. "Drake? You are still here? Soft and sweet words would leave slightly cracked lips, right brow raising as their matching gazes met. What would he say next?

She would turn to face him, his own heart racing. Pounding hard within the confines of his chest. Was this real? Was this really happening? He had to be dreaming right? She couldn't just magically show up out of nowhere like that, it was unfair. But she was real, she was here. It wasn't a dream, as much as he wished it was...she drew close to him, stopping just inches away. She looked...different. Her scent, the way she moved...she seemed to have changed. She carried the stench of the pack that had taken her...did that mean she had chosen to stay? Ears fell back as she reached forward to smell him, him holding his breath as he tried to quiet his raging heart. Her question struck him, and he was unsure how to so answer. Yes, he had stayed...he stayed alone in solitude. Afraid to get close. His heart hurt just looking at her, the pain of the past coming back to haunt him. But it was hard, he wanted so badly to just embrace her and beg her to not go back...but he would use all his will to remain fixated to his place. Aqua gaze staring into her own matching blue eyes, the ones he remembered so clearly the first day they had met. Drake summoned a deep breath, attempting to hide the pain and sadness within his gaze. "Y-yes...I'm still here...I never left. It's...nice to see you again." Australian accent was guarded, though he tried as best he could to hide that fact from her. I've always been here...waiting...I promised...

The ashen babe was unaware of the inner turmoil he was feeling, so she would assume that he was please to see her. At least until he spoke. His words were broken and weak, as if he were having trouble speaking to her. Was he not pleased she had returned to him, even if it were for a moment? Audits would fall flat as azure gaze drifted downward, pupils adjusting as she blankly stared at her paws. "You do not seem pleased to see me." She would admit weakly, her head slightly tilting to the side as she huffed a gentle sigh. She would raise her head up again as she stuck her ebony button toward the heavens, a sneer pulling her alluring lips. "No matter. I shall take my leave then." The siren would huff as she batted long lashes in protest, how dare he greet her this way? Last they had spoken she was being abducted into Glaciem. She would remain where she was, purposely giving the man time to respond before turning back to Glaciem. Had coming here been a mistake?

Her response was not what he expected. He knew he had done no better, but then again, she probably wouldn't have known why. She would look away from him, her voice different then he last remembered...had she been corrupted after all? Was she no longer the same girl he had first met, kind and trusting? Was she no longer the same girl he had helped heal, and promised to? He remembered that day still, clear as if it was yesterday. He still remembered the promises...or did she forget? Drake turned his head away as she spoke again, then watching with eyes trying to hide the hurt. She was turning his back on him, the youth's heart feeling tight, his throat feeling choked. So that was it? She was just going to walk away? Did he really mean nothing to her anymore, even after she asked him to stay? He couldn't let her go, not without letting her know first at least. "Liberty wait!..." He took a step forward, hesitant to tell her what he felt. He wasn't even sure if she was the same person anymore...compared to the first time, he never imagined she would have acted as she did now. "I...I'm sorry..." head hung, his gaze staring at the ground, unable to meet her eyes. There was so much he wanted to say...but how? What if she didn't even want to be here, and instead wanted to return to the pack that had stolen her from him? He had made a promise...he had to tell her he was sorry at least...for becoming the failure he was now.

The babe would crack an eye closest to the male, peeking at him as she silently protested. It was painfully apparent that he was in emotional pain, which would cause Liberty to lower her head and look at him head on. Something internally was wrong, had something happened since she was abducted? Or, was she the reason he felt so somber? Audits would pin as she gazed up at him, lashes batting slowly as she took a deep breath after listening to him speak. He was a step closer to her now, and he was asking her to wait, and so she would, as she did not intend to leave just yet. This was simply a game, but it was apparent now that Drake did not wish to play. He was hurting. "What are you sorry for Drake?" She would inquire, as she was unsure what was making him so upset. She could barley recall the promises he had made to her, but they were so young then, and she realized now their promises were only lost dreams. Isardis had reined victorious, and because of it she had turned into another woman.

The silver femme would wait, stopping to look at him. Would he really be able to tell her the things he felt? Would she simply laugh at him and further the pain? He wanted so much, but as it appeared, his life would always screw him over. His family dead and gone, his sister lost, his brother on the move to kill him...why was he still trying? Why did he not just remain in hidden in his cave and wait for death to claim him? It seemed that would have been much simpler, more bearable then being here in front of someone who seemed to not remember the connection they had just a few seasons ago. Perhaps...she didn't care for him after all.

He tried to breath past the lump that was forming in his throat, unsure as to whether he should try and get through to her...or face the fact he would end up more hurt and broken then he already was. Never had he been this attached towards a female, a girl that he had fallen for on sight. He wasn't sure why...he just did. Looking up at her, the moon shining upon her frame and illuminating her eyes, he had half the heart to flee back to his cave, the other half...wanted to stay here as long as possible. To keep her close, no matter how much it hurt.
"Liberty...I'm sorry for not being there to protect you. I made that promise not just so you would trust me, I said it because you could trust me...and you still can. I know it was a while ago that you were taken, and a bit longer still that we met..but Liberty, even with just that short time, I saw something in you that made me want to be close to you. Not just physically, but emotionally...I wanted to be there for you whenever you needed a shoulder to lean on, to be someone you could talk to without judgement. Not just use you for your body. Because in reality, you're worth more then that. You're worth more then the air I breath, and the moon and stars that shine at night. I don't expect you to feel the same anymore...but...I fell in love with you without realizing or wanting to.."

That's it. He said it. His heart hammered in his chest, his gaze focused on her more intent on getting through then anything. He lost so much already...would he lose her, too? Had she changed so much that she wouldn't care anymore? He would walk to the ends of the earth for her, risk his life just to make sure she would always be safe. "I still love you...and I'm afraid that will never change..." he admitted it. He knew it wouldn't, he could feel it.

The babe would continue to watch him, eyes closing slowly as she batted her lashes while waiting for a response- though when she got one, she wished she hadn't. She would listen to him, audits perking forward, and lips occasionally lifting into a smile. Never before had someone, let alone a male, told her these things. She was used to being a harlot beneath her thirsty kings rule and nothing more. What was she supposed to do with someone who loved her? So many thoughts and memories flooded her mind while listening to him speak. So many decisions needed to be made. Was Isardis really the best option for her? Or was Drake? Internal conflict began to swell within the girl, but all thoughts would be lost when Drake said his last sentence. "I still love you...and I'm afraid that will never change..." "Oh Drake..." She would begin, though she had no idea where she was going with this. All she knew was he couldn't, and shouldn't, love her.

Without processing the movement she would come forward, aiming to close the short distance between them. She had not intentionally touched another male besides Isardis since being claimed into Glaciem, and this close proximity felt taboo. Would her king be disappointed if she fell into the arms of another? Especially someone allied with Valhalla? The thoughts would swirl endlessly within her mind as she acted on impulse, for she would deal with the consequences later. Right now all she cared about was him. She would aim to run her plush cheek against the right side of his face with her left, tears threatening to swell within her cerulean gaze. "I am no good for you Drake. Please, you must let me go..." So many other things she wanted to say, but she knew better than to lead him on. Despite how she felt inside they could never make this work. She belonged to Isardis, she was property, and if stolen the thief would face dire consequences. She loved drake too much to see him hurt.

She could not refrain it anymore, tears began to roll down ivory cheeks as she pulled herself away from him. She would not back peddle, but instead would avert her gaze, as she did not want him to see her cry. So many things had gone wrong because of her, and now she would need to face the repercussions. She could never be with Drake and it was her own fault. "I love you Drake, and I am so sorry..." Her words would trail as she now began to sob. Never before had she cried over someone, only her mothers death had been able to break her. Now her entire world was broken because the truth had come out.
