The white dame always seemed to find herself in the worst situations. Situations only a woman like herself would get into. The woman loved weather, rain that pelted down upon her thick fur. It soothed her. But the rain she endured at that moment was terrifying. The demons, the gods, the horrors of the night, they cursed at her in that moment. Their noble spit splatted down on her like a barrage of sins. The dame was next tot he rive that was horribly. Flooded. She was in the area and wanted to fish but she got trapped there last night. The sky was black and the rain created a sight barrier. Those orange orbs were blocked. She watched as the brown and white water rushed past her in a hurry. She spotted a few critters seeking shelter. Kodda whimpered softly. What could she have done to be disgraced in such ways. To be tormented by the lands natural disasters. Kodda urged to lay down and just let everything happen, but, the broken girl was determined. The white dame slithered along the river before her paw slipped in the mud. She fell to the ground, mud splattered everywhere. The girl tried to get up but failed due to her now hurt front left paw. She attempted again but stumbled to her right and right into the white rushing water. She dove into the water and got a good mouthful of the liquid. Kodda bobbed up to the top and gasped for air. She cried for help, but no one was there. She hoped the demons above would help her. Otherwise she was doomed.

the gods were very angry. they fought, clashed, rumbled in the world above. rain nearly poured down, tapping harshly upon his uncovered pelt. he'd hidden maeva somewhere safe, afraid she'd been carried away from the torrential winds. and he had been right. the winds were absolutely horrid. he was absolutely irritated. annoyed. frustrated. why must the gods involve them in their disputes? couldn't they sort it out without raining the heavens down upon them? but then again, he supposed some of these poor bastards needed a reminder.

and then he heard it. that familiar cry. he'd only heard it once before, but it had been plaguing his mind like a constant disease. he wanted to replace it with her laughter, but still it would haunt him. he did not wish to hear it again, and for a moment he wasn't sure he had really heard it.. until he heard the vicious rushing of the rio grande. his heart raced, beating like a thousand horses' hooves in a spartan war. she was in trouble. in a split second he was running, sprinting, nearly flying in her direction.

and there she was, bobbing, gasping, drowning. he did not know how he managed it, he did not remember most of it. but now here he was, fighting against the current and grasping with desperate but delicate jaws toward her scruff.

Panic reached the girl as she bobbed up and down. She sucked in quick breaths whenever she could. Kodda accidentally took a breath mixed with water. She began to choak on the water, she gasped for air. The woman was in danger. She could not fight the current. Kodda was then slammed into a rock, her rear hit it head on. The white femme let out a furious growl, her tail seemed to sting a hell of a lot. A tear slithered down her wet face. But, she heard paw steps to her right. The man who was her friend. Jaeger. The dame looked to him in panic as he leaned down to pick her up. His jaws clamped down onto her fur. She let him pull her up if he could. She whimpered, her tail was numb. It went limp. She had broken it. "J-jaeger!"

tender jaws found their mark quickly, and within seconds he was pulling with every fiber. she would not drown, not on his account. he would save her. and he did. but just as he stepped off to the side to examine her, his footing slipped and along with that a large CRACK! struck the air. for a moment he was confused. he was not a large man, and the ground was moist and hardly likely to make such a noise. until he felt a nearly numbing pain radiating from his right leg.. wincing and grinding his teeth, his chin slid through the slick mud and took a gander at the large tree now crushing his leg. he laid there, unable to really comprehend. he tried getting up, before falling back down. he was in a trance, simply attempting over and over to stand.

The woman was pulled up to the land with a struggle. She skittered away from the edge quickly in fear. She shook and shivered. The girl gently whimpered to herself. Those, distant, orange eyes moved to her savior and she gasped in sorrow. She had nearly died and she was in such pain. She attempted to look behind herself to see her tail but she could not see. The woman tried to raise her tail up but it just hurt so much to even try. Kodda frowned before crawling to the man. Her stride was disturbed by a tree falling their way, she screamed in terror. "Jae!" He did not move in time. The man's leg was crushed in an instant and the white dame gasped once more. She watched as he tried over and over to get up. She watched the insanity of the man who was in agony. Kodda slithered his way in pain and whimpered. "J-jae just stay still.. calm down." She stared at him with tears flowing from her eyes. Kodda got up and moved to see where his paw was stuck. She frowned, there was blood coming from under the tree. She shook her head, "Oh Jae.." She fell to her belly and whimpered to herself. He was going to lose his leg and she knew it. The girl shook softly, the demons in her mind mocked her. They laughed at her. Kodda knew this was all her fault. Would he forgive her?

slowly he would come out of the initial shock, simply blinking at the blood seeping from under the bark. was that coming from his leg, or was the tree bleeding? no, that's silly. trees don't bleed. it had to be his. who was screaming? was that his own voice? no, far too high pitched. his ill-matched pools would drag to the woman beside him, studying his face for a few moments. the incessant ringing blaring in his ears made it hard to think. mother? no.. kodda. kodda.

he would rise once more, his face showing obvious pain yet still no other emotion. but this time he would pull, and his hideous leg would come loose. he would stare at it for a moment, the overwhelming pain overriding any initial concern. it burned. bones jutted out from gaping lacerations. it was ugly. it was useless. it was a flaw. look away. a whisper at first, the realization coming to surface. then his voice would rise, now angered and stern, while his igneous pools would catch hers. look away, kodda! to escape a deformed leg, he would need to amputate.

The girl could not stop looking at the leg under the tree. What horrible tree could do this? Kodda protected the trees, she spent time with them, they talked. Why would that on spit on her? She cried out with various whimpers. She looked to him as he spoke to her. The white dame shook her head and stared at him with cracked eyes. He then repeated himself quite sternly. The woman did not want to upset her friend while he was in pain so she pivoted around, still on her belly. Kodda covered her eyes with her paws and let her eyes flatten against her skull. The broken femme softly cried to herself as she waited for him to do what he had to. She continued to attempt to wiggle her tail but it just hurt. She pain shot up her spine in a fury. Kodda just laid there in defeat, shuddering, and crying.

it kinda sucks ;-; i was very distracted

as soon as she turned, the nordic man fell to his belly. he had intitially fell on his broken leg, gritting his teeth and sufficing a yelp for the sake of his friend. he had to lift, thrash for a moment in order to get the irritating leg in its proper place, and then went to town. he grasped it harshly between his jaws, and began crushing, gnawing, tearing. the pain would almost be too unbearable, but he forced himself to finish. he couldn't have a half-attached leg.

when the deed was done, he would rise with some difficulty, grab up his now amputated leg, and toss it into the river. kodda would not see this. she would not have nightmares seeing his leg aside from his body. when he would turn to look upon her once more, he would see a very defeated woman. his heart saddened. he had seen this look before, not only on her but also on himself. it killed him. his ill-matched eyes would catch the bend in her tail, and he would wince. she must be in pain too. after some time of stumbling and losing balance, he would finally lower himself next to her and softly coo, kodda, we have to leave. it's too dangerous here.

Kodda laid with her muddy back to the man. She covered her face with her paws even more as cries were let forth. She shook, her entire body vibrated from the agony within her mind and her rear. The woman heard the snapping of jaws and crunching of flesh. She whimpered softly as a plop was heard from the river. Kodda waited until he spoke, he told her they needed to lead. She nodded to herself. The woman stood and slowly turned to him. Those bright, broken, orange eyes slipped to his his leg where a foot was missing. The white dame gasped and moved to him quickly. Kodda slid her head under his chin and gently brushed her neck against his. The white femme moved to stand side by side and help him. "Lean on me.." Her voice was so broken and horribly soft. She shook her head once more. "E-e-everything is gonna be alright.. right J-jaeger?"

she would turn and he would break. the look on her face.. he couldn't stand it. tears welled in his eyes and he choked in a cry. when she would fly to his side and slide her head beneath his, he would inhale slowly and close his eyes. the pain was radiating, throbbing, burning. but she was so comforting. she would pull away, only to move to his side and softly order him to lean on her. so he did, only wanting to do as she said. his voice would squeeze out of his throat, hoarse and tense. of course it is, kodda. you're with me, aren't you? he would force a weak smile to reassure her before they would move, as one, to a safer place.

Kodda felt the man lean on her and she embraced his weight with her brutish body. The white dame sucked in a tight breath. The rain was heavy and it bolted down on them like marbles. Her body was soaked and she knew he was in pain. Before they started walking the girl leaned in and licked the mans muzzle. The girl looked to the river that was now, in her eyes, blood red. She gasped and went wide eyed. She created such slaughter such death, SHe looked down and frowned deeply, the woman tried so hard not to break down. THat moment was so hard for her. Though, she pulled it together for the man with three paws. She owed it to him. They wobbled away to shelter.
