Whispers in the Dark

Esperanza walked through the packs land, making sure that everything was in order. The cold of the snow that blanketed the ground in a sheet of white caused her pads to freeze from time to time. Droplets of crimson would sometimes appear in her paw prints that she made when the she had nipped to hard to get the ice that had formed between her claws and pads off. The dark of the night sent a chill down her spine as she walked onward to get a kill for herself.
Snow had crunched underneath her as the wind whistled past her lobes. Her nostrils flared when the smell of the cold went into her nose and caused a burning sensation inside her nose. A sneeze erupted from her nasal region, shaking her head and continuing onward. Some distant sounds caught her attention as she tried her best to stay on guard.

The night rolled overhead, the moon reflecting the snow upon the ground. Sin had grown restless, thus his stalking habits within the darkness of night. He seldom slept, insomnia a part of the beast, and when he did sleep he would do so with eyes open...a tactic learned from a rogue when he was one. It fooled others, for he always appeared as if he were awake. But tonight, he was wide awake. He'd wander the terrain, soon coming upon a slight blood trail. A smirk appeared upon his maw, the scent accompanying the blood stains was that of glaciem. Had someone been careless? Only one way to find out. Silently he slunk forward, using the cover of the snow and the trees to approach as the crimson stains on his pelt the only give away that he was there. But even so, the shadows hid him well against the white background of snow. It did not take long until he came across a black fae, a Glaciem woman who appeared to be new, for she hardly wore the scent of the pack. "It is dangerous to wander alone...even in the supposed safety of the territory. Especially at night..." He rumbled darkly. |

The crimson liquid continued to trickle from her paw. The pain caused her to wince slightly, but she was used to pain most of the time. The emerald orbs that were the femme's eyes scanned the perimeter for any signs of unorderly information she might need to know. Without anything suspicious, she trudged onward through the land, what was when a scent hit her nostrils, causing her to put her nose up to the sky and sniffing.
"Who goes there?!" She howled, but not sternly incase the wolf was a packmate, but she also knew that this wolf was a male, and she needed to be very cautious if need be since she never met all the wolf members.
Wind began to pick up, pushing snow down onto the landscape where it was just recently near the trees. The droplets of frozen water landed onto her ebony coat, camouflaging it with a small sheet of white that covered her like a blanket as she waited for the male to present himself to her.

A dark rumble within his chest would emenate from slightly parted jaws. This woman was a poor soul, unable to pinpoint where he was. And yet, to shout out her presence was a mistake. Other things could be lurking about, and yet he was the more dangerous of them all. Still, he would not hurt her for the folly she secreted. It would do him no good, she was not worth his time. Although, he would watch her closely for a while...determine what kind of person she was. For the weak of heart had no place in the Northern kingdom. Slowly, he would step from hid standing point. "I am he who commands fear...he who may well be your worst nightmare." He uttered as he slipped free from the shadows. Crimson stained pelt now visible as he came to stand behind her, rough amber gaze staring hard at her. Off white pearls flashing in the moon light, fangs glinting brightly. |

She stood tall and did not back down from him, no fear emanated off her now since she remembered the scent that her pack mates emanated from their pelts. Her emerald colored orbs shimmering slightly as her pearl white teeth showed slightly, but not in a way that she wanted a challenge. She knew he was more superior than she, and would kill her if he wished to. She bowed her head slightly in respect but stood still, soon bringing her cranium back up.
"Hello," She spoke in a voice that emanated determination and some kindness, for she have heard about his kind, always willing and strong, someone who could kill whenever the opportunity presented itself to him. Her eyes shimmered even more. The wind and snow began to pick up. The snow fell down from the heavens in large flakes, covering her body in a blanket of white as speckles of black poked out from the sheet of white beauty.
"My name is Esperanza, and judging by the scent I could tell you are part of the pack of Glaciem," the femme spoke out, waiting for a response to come from his mouth. The cold continued to whip at her face as if she were being stung by a thousand bees. The cold felt like they were in below temperatures, but she did not shiver from the cold she felt in front of this wolf. The land seemed to be barren, but the trees were covered in the white flakes as their branches were barren.
