Time Can Only Tell

The land seemed beautiful when dusk was around the horizon. The sun peaked around the edge of the hill that showed different shades of purples, oranges, and pinks as some stars could be seen throughout the land. Every tree had some fruit on it's branches, but, much of it had fallen and become mushy from the days that had passed by which made it that way. Many insects had sucked out the fresh juices that emanated inside it's core. Esperanza looked out at the top of the hill as she watched the sunset, as if nothing could break her from the trance that covered her eyes.

She remembered always seeing the stars and wondering what it would be like if she could always see the stars, and not have a care in the world. Her ebony claws dug lightly into the earth as the foliage gently went in between the fey's toes.

"I wonder what it would be like if it were always night," she thought to herself as her cranium tilted to the side as she thought about what she had spoken in her mind.

Some wind blew against her pelt and caused it to whip around softly and made it stay to the right side of her form. The sun made her eyes shimmer slightly from the small amount of light that reflected off her optics as a small sigh erupted from her vocal region.
