With another deep breath, the brute would return to his work of tearing into the unsuspecting rabbit that had wandered across his path among the trees and melting snow. "Tearing" might not be the proper way to describe his actions, though. Each bite and pull was conducted with his usual precision, careful to remove the skin and fur from the whole body before he would begin separating the meat into appropriate piles. Erebos had perfected the process over the years, keeping his depression as bay as he focused on each successive task of the day with the full force of his mind.

The sound of footsteps would draw his eyes up from his small prey. Icy blues would focus on a massive creature, something between a dragon and a tiger, approaching with it's teeth barred. Apparently, the monstrous thing wanted his lunch, but Erebos wouldn't have it. In his fantasy he would loose a low growl without moving from his position on the ground, attempting to threaten the animal into submission. In his most lucid mind, he would always be powerful enough to take control.

Her soul was weak and her eyes reflected such. Her body was worn and slightly filthy. Her fur was shaggy and not very clean, she did not really care about her hygiene. Though, the girl was in a slightly better mood then usual due to her time with Jaeger.. her friend? Yeah, she guess thats what he was. Kodda was not one for relationships of any sort. Friends, family, mates, buddies, rivals. None of it meant anything to her. The only thing that mattered was keeping her mind at bay. To keep the whispers quiet and to keep her thoughts sane enough. She knew there was something wrong with her, she had not always been like that. When she was a pup she was so happy and fun, but one day everything went wrong. There was no sickness, except for the illness within her mind. It was a matter of genes, nothing more nothing less. One day she was chasing butterflies the necxt she saw her worst nightmares come to life, she was scared constantly. she heard things that weren't there. Kodda was broken, but she tried her hardest to stay at bay. It was hard.

She skipped through the woods with no real goal. Her tail waved behind her. Everything seemed to glisten. The trees smiled her way, they spoke to her, thanking her for her presence. Though, a scent warned her. The voices told her to turn back, but she was to curious. Those white paws skittered across the forest floor as she grew closer to the scent of blood and a male. Her citrus eyes spotted a black male, laying and feasting. She tilted that pristine head of hers as she stared at him, her paws were at a complete stop. Kodda then nodded to herself and slowly slithered forward, silent. Her voice was emitted quickly, "Greetings.." Her voice was gentle and soft, like a whisper but not. She stopped once more to get a look at him, she did not want to threaten the man before her.

ooc;; that table is gorgeous!!!!

As if by magic, the creature before him would morph and change. Its body seemed to ripple before him, the body shrinking by three times, the black, reptilian features of the thing changing to a pale fur. Before he could even let the growl escape him, the monstrosity had become a mere wolf, one that approached with caution and without a threat no less.

The jaws of the brute would snap shut as he tilted his head to the side, examining the wolf before him. Its fur was a mess, sticking out in all directions with a distinct filth to it that caused him to scrunch up his nose slightly. Erebos kept his coat pristine with his daily bath, always careful to avoid bloodying it during kills or muddying it when he walked. The wolf was also female, and has stunning features. Brilliant orange-red eyes and distinct dotted markings under the eyes revealed a beauty beneath the mess, but Erebos was too caught up in the disorder to truly notice it.

A sigh would escape him at the sound of her voice and he would rise carefully to his feet to sit before her, placing them at a more equal level. Hello, stranger. Are you hungry? With a grin he would gesture to the small piles of meat beside him. No matter what the situation, when Erebos was in a state of lucidity he would always place others before himself. Perhaps he would even invite the dame on his trip to the stream for his second bath of the day after this - she looked like she could use one.

Kodda's eyes were locked on the ebony male before her. She licked her lips as her belly rumbled. The broken dame hated killing, she thought it was so cruel. But, one had to survive right? She eyed the meal before him but he seemed to notice her and move into a seated position. Kodda nodded to him with a polite smile. He spoke to her and she thought for a few moments. Should she take the man's food? What if he suffered? Kodda eyed him over once, he did not look like he was suffering. His fur was clean and lovely. He was thick with life, not to big not to small. The woman licked her lips again before slithering forward a few steps. "A bite, I suppose." Kodda leaned down and took a tiny nip out of the flesh, swallowing it. The white femme savored the taste but the thoughts of murder flooded her cracked mind. She frowned back backed up a few steps. The woman bowed her head and internally wished the dead animal a wonderful afterlife in paradise. She then came back into the real world and looked to the man. "K-kodda is this ones name."

Icy orbs followed the dame as she stepped forward and took a small piece from the pile, a frown crossing her features as she backed away. This caused him to tilt his head slightly in confusion. It wasn't often a hungry wolf frowned while eating, and her hunger was obvious. She obviously wasn't eating often, in addition to her lack of baths.

You can have more if you'd like. I've had some today already. He hoped that he wasn't frightening her by being so forward. Erebos was a friendly wolf, despite his mental deficiencies and the absence of love from his family while he was growing up. Maybe it was that absence of love that drove him to find friendship now. My name is Erebos, and I'm glad to meet you, Kodda. What brings you out to the woods today?

She watched him with eyes of a hawk. He watched her like she was ill. Like she was weird. She could feel him get uncomfortable, or it was just her paranoia. Kodda listened with him with perked ears, he was friendly. But she was no charity. The white woman looked at the meat then back to him. He spoke his name before he asked her a question. The woman looked around with bright eyes, the trees glowed. Everything was so bright. It was nearly blinding. A ringing in her ears was heard louder then usual. She shut her eyes for a moment before opening them once more. Kodda put on a very fake smile and slithered forward. She leaned down and took a chunk of meet. "I came to get a breath of fresh air. I l-love trees." She looked around at the bright trees with broken eyes. The woman sighed before ripping into the meat once more. "Why is Erebos here?"

Immediately he felt a connection to the dame. One of compassion, sympathy, and understanding. It was apparent that she was not quite right. Erebos was sane enough to know that, though he was not quite sane himself. No one in his family was, except his father perhaps, though Erebos supposed his father had issues beyond simple insanity, for what kind of wolf did it take to not love his child?

Trees are quite nice, especially here, he would respond gleefully, careful to hide sympathy from his features. The insane did not take well to sympathy, Erebos knew this well. I came to hunt, and I will soon be headed to a stream nearby to bathe. You are welcome to join me if you would like. He would not blame her for her filth, despite how much it disgusted him. He would try to help her. He needed to.
