New lands. His grandmother Loccian had announced to the pack that Seracia had recently expanded its territory to a few more lands surrounding the Range and immediately the boy had decided that he would be one of the first of his siblings to go out and explore these new lands. After his grandmother had ended the meeting, Caeto had crept off in the general direction that the lands had been described to be in. The place he was headed to was called Buffalo Knolls, if he remembered correctly, and of all the three new lands, that one sounded the most interesting of all. Not to mention it was the closest.

He could feel the cool chill of the coming night begin to settle in to the atmosphere, as he moved closer to the new land. He could smell animals up ahead, but it wasn't until he crested over a hill that he saw the creatures down below. They were huge! Bigger than his parents or any wolf he'd seen lately. They were covered in thick, dark fur and had sharp things protruding from their massive skulls. They looked like the bulls that his grandfather Gerhardt had told him about. But these seemed much bigger than the bulls from his grandfather's stories. Interesting. The young man would sit himself atop the hill, gaze trained on the giant beasts, watching them curiously. He would study them for a bit, gain some information about them before he would decide to tell his parents about what he'd discovered.

She had come to see the buffalo, they were interesting creatures, despite being quite testy at times. She padded around the fringes of the herd, mismatched orbs fixed upon their unique features. A cow stomped a hoof and blew a gust of hot breath in her face, and quick as a bunny the femme bounded a few feet in the opposite direction. A young calf came scampering out, making a low sound that reminded her of the bleating of goats a bit. She wagged her ebony tail a few times, yipping at it. Not a smart move. The mother came charging out and chased her up the next few hills. Tail between her legs, she hauled ass out of there until the crazed cow abandoned the chase. Waiting a few moments, she caught her breath and trotted right back to the fringes of the herd, remembering to avoid the babies. One immense bull was quite a sight to behold, battle scars littering his massive frame, the tip of his left horn completely missing. Flattening her ears, she slunk towards him. Wow, truly amazing. One massive hoof came crashing down a few inches from her muzzle, and she looked up. The bull snorted at her, big brown eyes meeting her own moss and cyan optics angrily. With a nervous chuckle, she backed away, belly to the ground. Standing a safe distance from the group, she watched them. How majestic, these beasts.

Her attention was drawn to a youngster sitting atop a hill a little ways away. Picking herself up off the ground, she padded towards him, smiling and wagging her tail all the same. Sure, she looked like a hound from hell, but she wouldn't hurt a fly. Except lunch, lunch was quite irresistible, and she held no remorse for killing her prey. A soft smile curved her dark lips upwards, happy to be seeing pups in the lands. It had been so long since she was around children. Though someday she hoped to have babe's of her own with her beloved Jasper. "Well hello there little one, what are you doing so far from home?" She asked, knowing full well none would dare to have a den somewhere where the buffalo could stampede so easily and trample it to the ground. Seating herself a few paces from the youngster, she dimly wondered if he saw her as scary. With muscles as obvious as her own, and her ruff that looked more like a lion's mane, her markings, which had been called demonic a few times. She had used to fear that reaction, but now she didn't mind it. Bi pigmented orbs fixed upon the features of the young boy, awaiting a reply calmly, with a kind smile on her face.

Well hello there little one, what are you doing so far from home? A stranger's voice would break him from his observations, azure gaze dancing away from the buffalo to fixate on the ebony woman that had come up beside him. She was bigger than him obviously since he was still pup, but as he compared her to other wolves he'd met, she was small in comparison. His eyes would stray as they would take in her strange russet marking that colored her chest and reached up to bathe one of her bi-colored eyes. She was an odd looking woman, but then again he didn't look like other wolves. So they were similar in their odd looks. She smelled of rogue, so she didn't belong to his pack. So who was she?

I'm actually still on my pack's lands ma'am. My grandmother Loccian recently claimed this area and a few others to expand our territory. So I'm not really far from home. He would explain to the woman as he turned his dull russet frame towards her, keeping an ivory dipped ear in the direction of the buffalo in case anything interesting arose.

As his explanation came forth, quickly, calmly, the woman was quite surprised. Turning to face her, the youngster gave the larger female a chance to look him over. Someone as unique as she, the young boy was, in all aspects. Smiling sheepishly, she chuckled. "My apologies, little one. Would you like me to leave?" She would inquire, hoping he would allow her to stay. It had been so long since she had been around pups, and even longer since she had talked to them. She missed children, they were so fun, and they were some of the few wolves willing to go on adventures still. Seating herself upon the terra, she wrapped her thick ebony banner about her massive russet paws.

What pack land was she in? Seracia most likely, but the possibility of it being Valhalla was not far after, in her mind. There weren't as many packs in these lands, so the choices were limited. However, Tortuga may have moved, that was also entirely possible. Or Ludicael. That however was less likely, for some reason it simply didn't make sense in her mind. Shaking those thoughts from her head as she shook out her thick, unruly mane of a ruff and returned her mismatched gaze to the pup. She could await a reply, as she waited for everything else in life. Seeking out what one wanted was good, but sometimes it was nice to stop a while and smell the flowers.
