DEAD I AM THE RAT, FEAST UPON THE CAT

Tender is the fur, dying as you purr

Steam flowed around her body as the white women slithered around the various pools. Orange eyes were especially empty on that evening. Her fur was slightly dampened by the moist and humid air that surrounded her. Kodda stared into the bodies of water as if they were evil. Her broken mind did not understand why the water was so hot. She watched the surface of the clear liquid bubble slightly. She just watched, her paws stopped. Kodda studied the body of water, memorizing each bubble and ripple. She was tempted to touch it, the voices within her mind urged her one. Though, she was frightened. How was the water so hot? Was she in hell? Was this the devils work? She shook her head, she could not believe she was in hell. She had not died. Or did she die? Was she dead? The woman shook her head again, attempting to shake her own thoughts away from her head. Kodda growled in frustration and looked away from the steaming water for a moment. Orange eyes bored into the ground, she reminded herself she was alive and not within the heated depths of Hell. Kodda shook her head violently, she fought with her own mind internally. She denied her own thoughts. The voices taunted her and taunted her. The white behemoth gave in, she fell to the ground and covered her eyes with her paws. The woman twitched here and there. Everything went silent, there was no sound of wind, bubbling water, there was nothing. She opened her eyes and removed her paws. Everything seemed clear, but silent. Everything happened in slow motion, as if she were dreaming. Kodda then moved her paws to cover her eyes once more, wanting to reverse the effect. Ringing was loud within her ears, as if she had really died. Yet, the disturbed girl was still breathing, still laying there, and still broken.
