You gotta prove it

Nytiri was tracking the small hare footprints through the snow in her new home. The thirty two inched woman was crouched down to as small as she could make herself while still being able to keep her paws light as they slowly grazed over the ground. It had been perhaps a few days since Roman had accepted her into Glaciem, but she was making sure she did all she could to help out with guarding and filling the cache. The importance of food in winter was obviously substantial. The deer liked to hide and so did the rabbits. The strange thing was that the rabbits she was tracking, they were out and about running. Something has woken them from their hibernation. She decided on the facts finally.
Nytiri finally came into sight of the rabbits, or at very least she could see them and everything they were doing. The thing about hunting is that you could be out and alone for hours and just be following tracks that led to nothing. However, she refused to let a hunt end that way. She narrowed her eyes at the rabbits, there were five of them and she had a chance, depending on how weary they were, to catch all five. She leapt out and caught two of them on her paws, it crushed their necks and snapped their spine in between the first and second vertebrae. Then she made her way after the others ones, catching the last three eventually and doing the same. It wasn't much, but it was food to bring back. She could take down more if she had a partner to hunt with.
She took all her prey and buried it in the snow. It would hide the scent from predators and preserve it for when she finally headed back.
