She stood upon the obsidian beach, oddly silent for once, staring out at the darkened waves with contemplation in her eyes and an inexplicable sadness in her heart. Silver and celestial optics observed the rolling of the water with an empty interest, orbs glazed with a far-away look. A breeze lightly ruffled her pale pelt, which stood out against the black sand and dim sea. Aegira was perched on the outskirts of the pillars, not quite in their semi-circle grasp but after a few long moments her paws carried her through the shallows and she entered the realm of the cove.
Her minuscule frame stopped at the center of the cove, gaze still cast outward. The young woman was so deeply cocooned in the web of her thoughts that she was entirely unaware that she wasn't the only one here. Her tail swayed lightly around her dampened ankles, brushing the waves as they broke softly around her paws, the sea caressing its lost child with unmatched tenderness as the yearling thought of her family, wondering, thinking, pondering about where they'd gone.
