Though she had been enjoying her newfound freedom, Satu could not quiet the nagging sense of guilt caused by the fancy-free life of a rogue. Was it not her duty to lend what skills she had to her family, to her pack? She balked at the idea of returning to her mother's pack, not when her sister and her cousins were here. Yet she had to do right by her family.

So it was that she found herself here at the edge of Ludicael's territory. Her normal exuberance was muted by a quiet uncertainty. Would she be welcome here? Novella was here, and no doubt her young cousin would be happy for her to join them. But there was also Song, who Satu had barely gotten to know growing up and who Satu couldn't predict a reaction for, and the many other members of the pack who Satu had never met before.

The young wolf steeled herself. If she was going to join, she had to just do it and get it over with. Satu lifted her muzzle to the sky, and called forth with a single musical tone, then sat down at the boundary to wait for an answer.

Though she held no power within the pack, Novella had been unable to help herself as she heard the call from the borders and quickly she went rushing to the source. Of course, the call wasn't just from anyone, she was certain it was Satu and seeing as she had been the one to encourage her to visit, there was no reason she shouldn't go greet her cousin at the borders. Sure enough, as she neared the edge of the pack lands she soon noticed the familiar brown coloured form of her cousin.

"Satu!" She greeted her happily as she approached, certainly pleased to see that she had indeed found her way to the Ludicael borders. And this joy was without even knowing her cousin's plans, Satu would certainly be right in assuming that Novella would gladly welcome her. "It's good to see you again." She commented, tail wagging happily behind her.

Even though it hadn't been all that long since their last meeting, Novella had more news to share with Satu. Upon noticing that something seemed a little off with her cousin though, she decided such things could wait for now. "Are you ok?" She questioned, her voice calming now with her concern for Satu, hoping nothing was wrong with her.

As she sat with Novel, teaching her a bit about the herbs she knew of, a voice would drift towards her, one that she would feel that she recognized. Ears would swivel towards the border as her mismatched gaze would fall upon her tiny daughter, Go try and find some more of these with Elohim, he'll help you gather. She would send her daughter and her strange companion off into the territory. The pups knew that she did not want them to leave the borders of the territory, but she knew that they would disobey her as well. Oh, and Elohim, make sure she doesn't cross the border. At least she had that golden primate to look after the smallest of her brood. She would not watch them go instead she would turn and head in the direction of the summons. Who ever this was she knew she had met them before.
At her approach she would see the familiar form of her sister, and she could only hope that this happened to be another of their family members. She would not recognize the girl at first glance, realizing she could not be one of their siblings, but the words Novella said would alert her to her identity. Satu, her cousin. Dutiron's niece. She must have followed as well when the rest of the Destruction siblings had left Ahlon. She barely knew the girl, like she had hardly known her siblings, but she was glad to see her none the less. A broad smile would dance across her lips as she joined them near the border.
Hello, Novella, hello Satu. It's good to see you again, you've grown a bit since I last saw you. She would let loose a small giggle as she let herself take a seat, now quite at ease. What can I do for you today, cousin? Her smile would warm as she hoped the girl would find a home here.

Satu was only waiting a surprisingly short amount of time before her call was answered. And by someone she wasn't expecting - though perhaps she should have, considering - her cousin Novella. The sight of her released a bit of the tension that had been holding her motionless. A smile broke out on her face, tail wagging in response to Novella's.

"Novella! It's been so long!" she joked. When her cousin asked her seriously if something was wrong, she shook her head reassuringly. "Nothing's wrong, really, I'm just a bit nervous. I'm.."

She didn't get the opportunity to tell Novella why she was there, though, for another wolf had joined them. It was Song. Her cousin was a bit older, more mature than Satu's memory of her, but it would be hard to mistake her features for any but the Destruction family. And while the sight of Novella had relaxed her, let out her playful personality, the sight of Song brought her back to just why she was there and made her nervous all over again.

"Hello, Song," she replied quietly, then cleared her throat and said it again a little louder. "Hello, Song. I'm here to ask your alpha if she would consider maybe letting me join your pack. I was kind of hoping maybe you'd put in a good word for me?" She took a deep breath and rushed on. "I'd really like to join, and I really missed you guys so I'd like to be in the same pack. I could tell stories, or patrol, or watch pups, whatever she would need me to do I would do it, I promise."

Her tail cricked anxiously as she regarded her two cousins.

As Satu greeted her, Novella noticed that she seemed to grow a little more relaxed, and her usual joyous nature starting to return. A smile crossed her muzzle at her cousin's joke, it'd been plenty long enough really though there had been no time set upon the invitation, it was about time that she paid a visit to them. Such a comment may have fallen from her lips, though Satu had begun to speak once more, the words interrupted by the presence of another. It was no surprise that Song or Cherokee would turn up at some point, and Novella glanced towards the approaching wolf, smiling warmly upon seeing it was her sister.

Novella didn't think it was possible for anyone who knew their family not to recognise Satu. She herself had gotten comments on how much she looked like Novel, though even as a pup it was impossible to ignore the near identical appearance of Satu and Arelahn. Still often forgetting that Song hadn't really gotten much chance to bond with the members of their family whilst living in Ahlon, the young girl didn't think any introduction was needed, it was rather fortunate then that Song had arrived as she did.

Quietly she stood between the pair, allowing her cousin to speak for herself, her eyes growing wide with excited surprise as Satu explained she wished to join the pack. At that point she chose to speak up once more, now eager again to share some of the news that she had wanted to inform Satu of. "That's brilliant Satu!" She exclaimed cheerily. "But Song's the alpha now. You'll let her join won't you?" Gaze switched from her cousin to her sister, awaiting the answer that she was sure could only be a yes.

She would smile at her family members, especially Satu, who seemed a bit nervous to be in her presence. What she had to say would bring joy to her heart, she wanted to be a part of Ludicael and help them build their family. Song's tail would wag excitedly as the words left her mouth, a giggle leaving her own at the mention of their previous Sol. Thou Novella would answer her first, revealing that in fact Song had become the alpha. What Novella says is true, you only have to go through me. she'd smile at Satu, I could not deny our own cousin acceptance! Welcome to Ludicael. She didn't want to overstep her bounds, since she barely knew the girl, but she desperately wanted to nuzzle her. After the loss of Symphony she wished to hold all of her family tighter. There are four schools of thought you can be placed in, just let me know which one suits you best. There's healing, self defense, hunting, and theology the study of the gods. If you decide today I'll place you as an apprentice, if you'd like more time you can be a student with Novella.

Satu was surprised when Novella spoke up immediately when she asked Song to speak to the alpha on her behalf, saying that Song herself was actually alpha now. Such a quick change from last they'd spoken!

Then Song had spoken, assuring her it was all true, and welcoming her to join Ludicael. Satu's tail wagged in return at Novella's and Song's welcoming manner.

"That's great! Thank you, Song! And congratulations on becoming alpha, that's really exciting."

Now the "school of thought" thing Song had mentioned, that took Satu aback a little. Healing, fighting, hunting, or theology? Well, she had never really been much of a medic, and she had no idea what theology was really supposed to be. Fighting and hunting, though, those both sounded exciting.

"Well," she started slowly. "Self defense would be really useful, I guess, but I think hunting would help the whole pack out more often. I think maybe I need some more time to think about it?"

She would see Satu's tail begin to wag and happily she would add hers to the rhythm, it felt so good to have so much of her family close by her side. Satu would congratulate her, quite surprised at her promotion. She would smile and nod happily along with her, It's exciting, and challenging, but nothing is worth anything if you don't work for it. Satu would look slightly lost in her thought as she gave her a task of thinking of a rank. She would speak out loud, but nothing seemed to fit. It seemed she would fit well with the students for now, Then welcome to Luciael, as our newly added student. She would grin widely as she welcomed the girl to her new home.

Song was quick to confirm Novella's words and welcome Satu to the pack. Of course the young girl couldn't possibly have seen the result going any other way really, there was absolutely no reason for her to have turned their cousin away. Still grinning happily, she stood quietly now as Song began to explain the different areas that Satu could potentially specialise in.

She knew the pain of choosing one all too well, of course still a student as her sister as stated, Novella simply had no idea which area she wanted to specialise in. She was very weak in all aspects really she supposed, apart from hunting, she could do that ok though surely it was best to learn something new instead? Just what to learn was the problem.

Though there was silence as Satu thought upon her preference, it seemed that in the end she was almost as torn as Novella was upon what to choose. The smile grew again though as Song simply confirmed her as a member of Ludicael. "Shall we show her around now?" Novella questioned as she looked to her sister. Her own tour of the pack had come much earlier than it should have done that much she knew, though it certainly made sense to show Satu around her new home, that and of course they might hopefully meet some of the other members of the Destruction family to show them who had joined.
