The brown behemoth had found her way to the springs. She stepped through the thick undergrowth, and come upon a pool. Full of hot water. A volcanic spring, she grinned. She could really do with some heat right now. he snow had stopped a while back, a long while back. But it was still cold. It was a little warmer in the East. Not significantly though. She stepped into the spring and breathed a sigh of relief. She warmed quickly, the heat easing he pain in her muscles. She closed her eyes, caught up in the bliss relaxation of the moment. She opened her eyes and peered around, she seemed to be alone. She didn't mind that. She was comfy as she was.

The smell of sulfur did not bother Aranya as much as she had thought it would. After some time she grew used to it, and while it was not pleasant, neither was the chill. She was a northern wolf, snow flowed through her veins as much as blood, but that did not mean she couldn't tire of the seemingly endless winter. The wind bit, the ice cut at her paws, not just any old den could do. So she had wandered with the rising sun, hoping to come to a warmer land. By a stroke of luck, she had! Even if the warmth was only marginal. That, of course, is where the hot springs came in.

Aranya's sense of smell had abandoned her among the gasses and fumes, and at the moment she was picking her way quite delicately around the pools, looking for one that would suit her. It could not be too deep, she was in no mood swimming. If it bubbled, she knew from painful experience that it was much too hot. No, it had to be just right. She examined each pond carefully, enjoying the unique look of them. Some were bright, bright blue and quite pleasing to the eye. She was caught short when she found something in the water that was certainly not water! Another wolf! Aranya blinked, half expecting the specter to disappear. When she did not, Aranya grinned and cheeped out, "Hi there!" As usual, the thought that this wolf might be less than friendly never crossed her mind. Besides, who would want to leave warm water for brisk air? It was turning into an even better day than she could have hoped for.

She smiled as she heard the voice behind her Hi there she turned to look at the female, Hi, nice out here, isn't it. I just found the springs. They're brilliant, come on in. There's plenty of room. she shuffled over a bit in the water and motioned beside her. An invitation for the woman to join her. How rude of me, I've not introduced myself. I'm Nymeria, you? the female had seemed open enough when she said hello. If she wanted to stay alone, she would have just ignored her. So Nym assumed that she wanted to talk. She rolled her stiff shoulders, the heat was definitely helping. She waited for the woman to either accept or decline her offer. She waited patiently for a response.

Aranya smiled at the fae's open, welcoming tone. It was always a plus to not be run out of a certain region. At the invitation to come closer, Aranya happily smiled and moved around to slink into the water. She slid in slowly, relishing the feel of the warm water seeping into to her fur, tickling her skin. It was the perfect temperature, and she practically purred with joy. She lay down as far as she could, letting the water cover everything up to her nose and eyes. She sighed a happy sigh, and listened as the female introduced herself.

Aranya picked her head up the scant inches she needed to clear her muzzle from the water. "I'm Aranya Eloise Netonya," she said, giving her full title. "But just Aranya is fine. Or Anya. Or Ara. Honestly I don't care," she said with yet another happy sigh. Oh, this water felt so good against her travel-weary bones, her aching pads, and battered soul. She could stay here forever, and would if it was her choice. Unfortunately, she doubted fish swam in such strange waters. "So what brings you here?" she asked, hoping for some sort of news or a story. Her curiosity was insatiable whenever she met someone new, and this was no different.
