Her muscles had been aching for action, seeking the thrill of adrenaline. She?d denied them such a sweet hormone for so long, too caught up in healing to seek the thrill of a hunt. And yet today the matriarch had released her self-control, indulging her instincts and finding herself in the thrill of the chase. A hunt. Virgil Olympus was not the sort of woman to lay about being useless; no, she desired to be useful, and what better way to do that than to provide for the hungry mouths of her pack? Between her jaws was the throat of a young deer, one that had been walking with a limp, having been previously injured by some predator or another and achieved escape.

He made quick work for the woman, whose teeth remained embedded in its throat, her body laboring to carry it past Amenti borders. Muscles smoothly contracted, carrying her body towards the center of pack territory. Blood stained her muzzle and throat, none of it her own, the taste of it divine upon her tongue. When was the last time she?d been on such a hunt? Certainly not in quite a while. Knowing full well that she ought to summon the others to feats, she stepped back, head lifting towards the skies and letting a howl rip into the heavens. Perhaps the Alpha would come, or perhaps the woman would find herself meeting other members of her new pack.

After all, she?d kept herself rather isolated since joining, focused upon healing her leg and getting strong again. Virgil needed her strength if she wished to eventually challenge for a pack, and even though she shared a pack with others, she wasn?t sure if she trusted them. Trust could be a risky mistake to make with those who knew where you slept, those who were not family. Virgil was not a fool; until she learned the names of her pack mates, she would sleep with at least one eye open.

Syrinx was wise enough to know those that could be of use to him and know those from those that would only end up hurting him. Wth Virgil--however, she was an exception. Much lke Eos she possessed an aloofness that only allowed joy to be something that bridled her own self well. When it came to personal affairs she was likely the type he would never rely on, however, he held the firm belief that he could count on her should a battle befall them. After all, this had been why he allied with her. Why he had been joyous on the occasion of allowing her to come home with him. Beyond this she was simply eye-candy. A kind that he wasn't quite intent on noticing. She was a woman--and the genetics that his father had held to want everything but only take selectively had skipped him. Syrinx wanting nothing and only hungered for things when he knew he would never have them. He and Cairo were nothing alike--except they both wanted to make sure Valhalla was well taken care of.

A summons is what takes his attention so easily, but it is the smell of blood wafting in that made his mouth began to salivate and his attention truly be grasped. Quick and certain of what is awaiting him he moves until he finds her decorated in rich dark liquid he grants her with a smirk; allowing it to encumber his lips pleasurably and darkly and he immediately pressed his entire body towards her; careful to offer a decent amount of space while also offering her a jocose comment, "Here I wasn't sure if you were pretty. You, however, look positively ravishing in red,"

Twotone laid on his side in one of the many tunnels laid out in the Amenti caves, a loud yawn piercing through the low hum of wind in the caverns. He hated it here. Truly hated it. It was cold, lonely and desolate within the caves, the whole of the pack seemed to want at each other's throats. All the better for me to work for the king on high He thought sarcastically. He hated his job most of all. How was he supposed to fix people? He could barely fix himself most of the time, he had only ever dabbled in healing. He huffed and laid his head between his paws, his tail tucked under him as he thought of how hopeless his situation truly was.

A howl brushed over his ears and he instantly shot up. Food. There was food! Maybe this pack wasn't so bad after all, I mean come on, there was food! His legs carried him far and fast into the center of the pack territory, tail wagging feverishly behind him...Until he saw Syrinx. Damn that man. He had hoped he would be able to snag a bite or two before the arkhos saw him, but now he'd have to wait until the huge oaf ate, not out of respect, but rather fear. He supposed he would like that. Disgruntled he sat as close to the deer as he could without the tendrils of fear sneaking into his stomach and waited, head inclined toward the brave little hunter. "Twotone." He introduced, visibly and audibly unhappy.

He turned his attention back to the deer, licking his lips at the thought of fresh venison. He was sure it would have tasted better without the alpha around to spoil it for everyone.
