Iorwerth didn't make it a habit to leave the packlands too much. He knew he wasn't some trapped prisoner, had the freedom to venture out a little more from time to time though he was rather comfortable where he was. It perhaps didn't seem that way, given as to how antisocial he was at times, he certainly had a trouble connecting with others, Seracia was becoming a home though and he still felt rather confident with his decision to join the kingdom, there was little point straying too far with that knowledge safely in mind. It wasn't like the rest of Alacritis held much for the young man though, sure his siblings and cousins were supposedly out there somewhere, though his thoughts certainly didn't linger on them. The meeting with Cirala had played on his mind a little, though that had been forgotten about for now, he had gotten his message across surely and they wouldn't bother one and other again.

For whatever reason, Iorwerth had found himself straying from the range today. Perhaps it was simply curiosity, the war was over so what for the world now? What would be the next plan of action, a part of him both hoped and feared that Seracia would play a part in it. He still needed ways to prove himself after all, though after seeing the Valhallans and the knowledge that the Seracian wolves that had left to help had become prisoners to Glaciem, well it certainly had to make even the most naive of wolves realise war was no game, not something that she ever be wished for.

There was peace in the air though, the barren hills certainly living up to their name. For all Iorwerth was aware he was the only wolf present upon the lands, a climb currently leading him to the top of one of the higher hills to survey and perhaps verify this belief.

Moving about the lands like a tumbleweed, Howl moved along near the Southern borders. He had not chosen yet whether or not he wanted to join Ludicael with most of his siblings, but he heard murmurings of the ice king having visited Ludicaelian lands recently. Though what had become of it and what he had gone for was unknown to him for the time being. He assumed if the king had gone for a visit, then the war must be over right? After all, that had happened in the fall. And now it was winter, yet hardly any snow fell upon the Southern lands just yet.

Shaking his pelt into a coat of fluff, he tried to deter the free roaming winds that went unblocked in the barren land that he now walked. Hazel eyes kept wide open and senses alert should trouble arise, but so far all seemed calm and oddly quiet. He had left Legend back under the hollowed tree that he and his brother shared. As it seemed Legend had chosen to wait and bide his time about joining a pack. And though the two had not officially joined Ludicael, the pair would remain nearby in the lands to aid them should their family need it.

Not long into his walk of the barren lands, a scent was gently carried towards him. Glancing around for the source, he would spot a lone figure atop the hill, his back turned to Howl making him unrecognizable. Curious though he was and somewhat craving for someone to converse with, he quietly made his way forward in a swift trot and bound. His pawsteps came with a slight crisp crackle as he stepped on some dry grass, and he would stop short of his target by at least two yards as he looked up to see who it was he was seeking to greet. "Hello stranger." he would say politely. Somewhere in the back of his mind, his brain faltered in gear as the scent grew in his nostrils. As if he should know who this was, but couldn't quite remember...

Talk like this

At the top of the hill it seemed the silence continued to reign for a few short moments. The soft crunch of the grass was barely audible, yet it sounded enough to capture Iorwerth's attention, ears twisting to listen a signal that he had indeed heard the sound. His head followed suit, slowly turning to look over his shoulder "Hello stranger." At that, his entire position changed to face the smaller male, his olive coloured eyes resting upon the other.

His immediate thought was more concern really than anything else, he had kept fairly aware on his walk, though perhaps that quiet had led him into a false sense of security and he had failed to notice this wolf until he stopped. Of course the wind wasn't in Iorwerth's favour either to catch the scent of the lighter wolf and yet he still wasn't happy with this turn of events. Perhaps he was simply a little sour that yet again someone had managed to sneak up on him, the last occasion had been Cirala.

Then the connection was formed in his mind, the scent probably would have given it away far earlier though this wolf wasn't your typical definition of stranger. Iorwerth could truthfully state he didn't know much about the other and it took him a moment to recall the name. "Howl." Came the curt greeting.
