Ardhel had found herself in the midst of a bitter storm in the North. The cold air dug into her skin and numbed her to the bone. The winds were howling, it was not unusual for there to be storms in the North, even in the Summer, you could expect icy gales. She had found exactly what she was looking for after trekking for a mile in the storm. It was a wall, a huge stone wall, it must have been about 10 feet high, and she couldn't tell how wide. It had clearly been built by humans, so obviously it was eroded a little, after all, humans were long gone, but there it stood. She pushed towards it and when she reached it, she bundled up against the side, hoping to provide herself with a little protection from the raging winds. And it did the trick, she wasn't entirely blocked off from the wind, but it still protected her to a degree. She had just had a reasonably sized meal, so she was quite full. All she could do now was hole up and wait until the storm passed. If it didn't, which was more likely, she would give it four hours before heading out into the winds again.

The northern lands had been his home for a long time now. Though it would seem that he would find himself wondering whether to leave the wintery white world behind - because he had more than himself to think of. Silana was never trekking too far behind him, and although he was far from being a responsible older sibling, he thought of his sister. He cared about her, he wanted her well and the best thing to do for her well being would be to move further south for the duration of winter... or to join a pack.

The storm had hit suddenly, and he had been lingering near the towering stone wall when the winds hit. They kicked up snow and spread the flurries coming from the clouds at high speeds. The only thing that the yearling could do was take cover - he couldn't travel in this, it would be a fruitless effort, and he would end up winding in circle after circle until he near well froze. And so he would wait, sitting next to the strange structure as the wind blew fiercely overhead, howling and whipping everything around him.

He had been sitting for a few minutes when he caught what seemed to be another figure in the distance with his gaze. Company wasn't something that the quiet boy particularly cared for, but perhaps said lupine had seen traces of his sister. If Silana had followed him out here, then he would have to go and look for her despite the risks. Silently, with eyes narrowed against the wind he would stalk toward her, before stopping in front of her and staring. His bi-colored gaze would bore into her own, but his figure would not tense or raise with any sort of dominance. "You are alone?" He would ask her, and the question was almost a statement - given with such simplicity it came out rather stale. "Did you... see anyone on your way?" His voice rasped slightly with disuse and was almost foreign to his ears - it had dropped without him noticing much. It was rare that he have to speak.

The young male made himself know as he padded up to her and said gruffly, You are alone? Did you... see anyone on your way? well that was kinda blunt she thought to herself. Well she tended to be quite blunt when she met people, she liked keeping conversation to a minimum. Hello there, I'm Ardhel and it's nice to meet you too. Now that all the warm fuzzy greetings are out of the way, yes I'm alone, and no, I haven't seen anyone. Ardhel huffed, this wasn't a good time, in fact there never was a good time. She was cold as the snow and icy dug into her, she wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep, but she had a high chance of freezing to death if she carried that plan out. What is your name and why do you wish to know if I have seen anyone? she inquired.

He watched her, listened to her long enough to take in her name. Although he hadn't introduced himself, and honestly wasn't sure whether he cared what this woman's name was, he would nod. It was better to be polite, was it not? She seemed to be a bit sarcastic? Unless this was actually what she called a warm and fuzzy greeting... but considering they were stuck in a storm with only a tall rock wall to keep them from freezing from the wind and snow - he would go with the former. Softly the yearling would sigh, feelings a mixture of disappointed and relieved that Silana was not around. "Good." He would respond softly, his gaze leaving the purple eyed woman and trailing over the snowstorm. It didn't show any signs of stopping.
It was her next question that would pull his attention back toward her, and idly he would give her what she wanted. "I am Aeron. I asked to make sure zat my zeestar was not 'ere. I do not want 'er caught up in zis storm alone." Silana was the only lupine that he would brave such a serious storm for. Hopefully she wasn't the same with him, and was following him despite the falling snow. "

He had a French accent, it was thick, unlike her Scottish one. good he said, and then told her that his name was aeron, and that he hoed that his duster was not alone in the storm. Ad much as she hated company, she had to admire that. Bajit had cared fits her like that once. But she had to move on. She hoped that he was still alive, she much wished for them to meet again. I had a brother, but I left she would not share her past hardships with this stranger. Ardhel tipped her head up to the sky, a snow flake landed in her eye and she yelped shook her head in surprise. I hate snow, she grumbled, embarrassed.
OOC: this was done on my IPod, so if there's any weird gobbledygook, sorry xD

The woman seemed to have a history with her family. Hearing her say that she had left her brother surprised him - but on the other hand perhaps it wasn't such a rare occurance. He and Silana had once had a brother and older sister, and they were long gone. Family to him meant more than much anything else, but to some, and maybe even most lupine, it was nothing? "Why did you leave 'im behind?" The yearling asked, tilting his head just slightly with his question. He wasn't upset at her, or even upset at his long lost siblings and parents, just curious. Why did things like this seem to happen so often? He couldn't imagine himself leaving Silana now...

His ears twitched, as did his nose as snow fell onto the boy's face. He didn't flinch at it though, unlike his company who seemed to be annoyed by it. Her embarrassment brought with it a brief moment of amusement that flickered on the grey brute's face. "Then you should be down zouth, no?" There was no reason for her to be in the mountains during the colder months, they would do her no good if she didn't like the snow. "I zuppoze it eez eazy to get lost up 'ere." Maybe she just didn't make it out in time, before the storms started to hit. A pity on her part, but she would make it out as soon as this storm let up. It shouldn't take more than a few hours for them to start their journey to warmer places than this field...

The boy's curious words bugged her. He should have minded his own beeswax. She tensed up and straightened up. Lifting her chin, I had no choice, I had to., her voice tight. She was straining to keep the emotion out of her voice. This boy made out that she did not love her brother, well, that was how she perceived it at least. She had loved her Bajit, more than anything else. She was now left not knowing whether he was even alive. It would constantly be niggling her, eating her alive. Her desire to know, over whelming her. Would he even recognize her? The thought saddened her. She pushed the thought out of her head. Then you should be down zouth, no? She did not particularly like Aeron. He seemed too, well she didn't quite know what, he just annoyed her. It didn't exactly help his situation that she was cold and wanted home.To the island she loved so much. It was nice because no one ever came there, she loved the solitude.
I travel, that okay with you? she snapped. I zuppoze it eez eazy to get lost up 'ere. She sighed, I'm not lost, I just came up here, and there happened to be a storm on the way. I simply used my brain and holed up in here. She huffed, all she wanted to do was to get back to her den. And sleep, and hunt, just to be in the comfort of the familiar. She shook the gathering snow off of her back and closed her eyes, she opened them again, slowly. She really could do with some sleep, but that would have to wait till the storm blew over. And what brought you out here in this weather? she cocked her head to the side, waiting for him to reply.
OOC: This is a pretty long post for me XD
