It was kind of comforting to be someplace else, not have to linger in a place that disgusted you. Seraphine would sigh heavily as she sat at the shore of the lake within Seracia, just staring up at the dark sky. Winter would be upon them in no time, the air was already cooling down these last few days. No matter what she did her thoughts would go back to the war, the people she knew fighting in it, and the ones dragged into it just because they were allies. The girl would snort at it, lips pulling back and a low grow rumbling in the back of her throat. A few had already been claimed and knocked out, and she had no idea where Sephiroth was.

She would come up beside the other, not bothering to keep much of a distance between them except for a few inches of comfort. Her face would remain stoic, though not purposefully so - it was simply how it was. One eye, the left green one would focus upon the scarred bodice of the Valhallan female. She knew he was Valhallan based on the familiar scent, though she didn't know the girl personally. ?Lame that they shipped us out here. I bet they are feasting over Valhalla's victory without us,? she muttered with resentment in her tone. She didn't want to be here. Granted, she had at first, but not now. Seracia was boring. She sighed, knowing her father and the others must be rejoicing over their certain victory while the refugees were cooped up in Seracia under high surveillance. How pitiful was that? Head twisted along the neck, facing the yearling female and waiting for a response.

"I rather be here than back in Valhalla, this whole thing is stupid." She would grumble back, keeping her mismatched eyes focused on the dark sky. Seraphine didn't know a lot of the people here but she did know of this girl, an Adravendi, she hoped the younger female wouldn't have their same attitude that had gotten the packs in such trouble. After a few moments though she would finally lower her head and twist it to look down a the girl, a smile nor frown was upon her lips, just a blank expression. "The name's Seraphine." She would speak up, clear but soft in a friendlier tone. While she was here she might as well take the chance to get to know some of her pack mates better, along with possibly getting to know what the wolves of Seracia, their ally, was like. At the moment all she knew was that they ran their pack like a Kingdom, and that the man and woman who greeted them at the border seemed friendly.

She would remain still, collected as she settled near the quiet stranger. It was funny, really, how confident she was that this girl was no threat. The wolf was larger than she, scarred significantly, and looked menacing enough - and yet Solaine Adravendi held no fear. Perhaps that was a flaw, perhaps it was not. Either way, it was the truth. 'I'd rather be here than back in Valhalla, this whole thing is stupid.' ?It's stupid that they think we're useless.? To say she was bitter about being shipped off to Seracia was an understatement. ?I guess it's not so bad here, it's just different than home.? She was used to Valhalla, knew every inch of it like the back of her paw. This place - though she'd explored it a few times - was not familiar, was not home. An ear flickered idly as the girl announced her name, Seraphine. ?Solaine,? she would comment back - leaving off her surname mostly because she was irritated with her parents for sending her away - for treating her like a child.

Seraphine would hum at her comment with a raise of her brow, acknowledging that she agreed. She would also have to disagree though, though it seemed like this girl wanted to help, she was indeed useless seeing as she was only a pup still. Perhaps if she was around Seraphine's age with some experience in fighting then she could, but even then she doubted the pack would want their own in such a thing. ?Well you and a few others are useless, your a pup still and some don't have what it takes to fight or heal the wounded. That's how things are, they were right in sending us someplace safe.? If the girl got offended by it then oh well, one should know their limitations and not try to show off that they knew more than they could actually handle. Like she did, hen it came to hunting lessons the yearling knew what she could and couldn't do, and when she needed to know something she would ask for help from Ashtoreth.

?I guess it's not so bad here, it's just different than home.? Seraphine would sigh, and nod her head to agree. ?Very different from my other homes, never seen such things before.? She would say quietly, head turning with her neck to look over her shoulder at the odd terrain. When she was younger she remembered being surrounded by forest, and when it wasn't forest it was more colorful plans with different kinds of prey. Her second home, when Luce had adopted her, was on the volcano in the north that was occupied by a pack, Tortuga which Taurig had claimed. And now she lived in Valhalla on the plains with Demonio... So much moving around, this girl was lucky to be there, t have so much family and people around.

Solaine was her name, and Seraphine noticed she didn't say her full name. ?Don't like your full name, eh?? She'd question, not to call her out or anything like that, was just curious. Unlike her Seraphine was given her name by the woman who found her after the fire and after losing her only family, her second home and family that soon vanished after giving birth to her children. It hadn't changed since, even though she wanted it to.

'Well you and a few others are useless,' Solaine would snort when this was said, face muddied with contempt. Who was this wolf to tell her she was useless? ?I'm not useless,? she would interject, not caring that she'd blatantly interrupted Seraphine's line of speech. She was very well aware she was a child, but that didn't mean that she couldn't do something profitable for Valhalla. She would note that Seraphine said 'different than my other homes' in plural, but she would ignore the phrase for the time being. She didn't honestly care to know any more about the woman's past. 'Don't like your full name, eh?' Solaine sighed. ?I like it just fine,? she murmured, though it was clear she had left it off for some reason. ?I'm just not particularly fond of my family right now.? That was an understatement, she was livid with her family for going into a war, for leaving her in the dust, for sending her away. She was frustrated, confused, and a little bit afraid. Though the latter she would try to keep under wraps, the Adravendi girl didn't like the idea of others thinking of her as fearful - because in all truth she was rarely afraid.

ooc: yeeeeah, I see them becoming rivals already. xD

Just when she thought this girl would be different, the kid proved she wasn't. Seraphine would only roll her eyes when the kid interrupted her, a snot was what she was, the type to want attention and get what she wanted or else she would throw a fit. Great, just what she needed. Good thing she wouldn't be staying here long, the moment she had the chance to she would leave Valhalla to explore the lands around her, before she picked a fight with this punk and those who pissed her off further with stupidity. When it came to her last name the kid seemed to like it, just wasn't happy with her family right now. "Hm." She'd hum softly, watching the lake before her. Seraphine wondered if it snowed this far south, would the temperatures drop further or would everything remain the same mostly, just cool down a bit? Would the coming Winter help at all to cool down the trouble going on lately? Oh how she hoped so.
