Arietta lay beneath the shade of the redwood trees, eyes closed as she let her body relax from the trek down from the mountains. Though it was only fall snow had fallen up within the rocky terrain, forcing her to come down in search of a pack. The thought of meeting an alpha, as well as entering a pack for the first time, seemed exciting. But scary too. There was always the chance that she might run into a pack with darker intentions... or a pack that would make her a prisoner. But Arietta had little choice... she wasn't good at hunting for herself and felt lost without other wolves to guide her.

Reddish-brown ears twitched in response to hearing the birdsong in the branches above her. Many birds were migrating south for winter, and that made them all the more annoying when they bunched together to rest. Soft blue eyes opened and looked up to the branches above, Arietta letting out a quiet sigh.

"Honestly... I don't know how you all can chirp so much." It was a constant noise, making her head pound. The she wolf drew a paw up over her ears, letting out a quiet groan.

Ah the freedom of not belonging to a pack. Legend traversed the lands, not having to worry much about getting in trouble with an Alpha or a higher up. Not yet anyway. He still felt somewhat bound to Ludicael, mainly because the rest of his siblings except for Howl and Story were there. Though he was somewhat naive, he knew about the dangers of the world. But his naivety was more towards his lack of wisdom on certain things...moreso who to trust and who to stay away from. But he was very good at determining who could and couldn't be trusted at first glance. If not that then certainly by the actions of certain individuals. He heard about the Glaciem pack, and knew that it was wise to stay away from most of them. Especially the albino king and some of his followers. Though he had yet to meet the king, he wasn't sure if he really wanted to.

The chatter of birds would draw his attention, cobalt eyes looking through the leaves of the trees that sheltered him from the sky. He could see parts of it through the branches, though for the most part if was just branches, leaves, and...birds. A tilt of his head brought on by curiosity, a smile on his face as his tongue hung out a bit. As he crossed over a fallen log, he stopped as he witnessed a young she-wolf groaning and complaining about the noise of the birds. A grin crossed his features as he stood there, an audible chuckle echoing towards her. "You get used to it after a while." He chimed, lowering himself onto the mossy logs surface. He tilted his head slightly as he looked at her, cobalt eyes dancing with kindness. She was pretty, of that he was certain. "I'm Legend, what's your name?"
