War. The single syllable resounded like a mantra within the confines of an active mind as the babe traipsed the abandoned battlefield, bittersweet in concept to the battle-starved phantom prodigy. There was not the slightest bond between the babe and the angelic titan who would initiate the raid upon the masses of Valhalla come dawn, and yet still she felt inclined to participate -- to unleash the fury that reigned her interior and to demonstrate the power incarcerated within her youthful being. Come dawn, the adolescent would no longer be looked upon as such a meager child; come dawn, she would shed the blood of adversaries that were not even her own and be acknowledged as the imperial being she assumed herself to be, aiding her pack and their fervent allies on the path to glory. There was no doubt in the viper's mind that tomorrow's conquest would lead the babe to the infamy she so desired; she would be remembered and cherished for her competence -- that was one thing she would ensure above obtaining overall victory. This eve, however, she sought total solitude in a region far away from where her current pack was situated, eager to find inspiration in the former arena that had been littered with the trinkets of human war, long since abandoned, serving as naught but mere embellishments upon a grassy plain.

They were back from a hunt, he had actually helped in this one! Father had looked at him so proudly, there was hardly anything he did wrong. Of course he had only helped in the pulling of the animal to the earth. His parents had done the hard work. They took its life in the end and they made it immobile. One day Mercury would be a great hunter and fighter. He'd protect Seracia.
Lost in thought he had no idea that his family had continued on ahead of him. As he pulled his head up from his paws he saw no one, just the flat field. He could feel odd things under his paw on occasion. They were rather cold, shaped rocks. It was odd, and he wished to investigate more, but he had to find his family. With bright multicolored eyes he would find himself in view of someone, but they were a complete stranger. He would tilt his head to the side with his ears pulled down slightly, who was this she wolf? Would she even notice him or how alone he was?
