The young girl's life was still topsy-turvy. She hadn't seen her parents or siblings in months and she wasn't sure where she was coming or going from. She need stability, something that would remain a constant. Having her parents disappear and her siblings walk off the face of the earth made the child's heart break and she didn't know what to do. In short, Odette was lost in her own life. Her paws had minds of their own, carrying her from the now vacant den at the beach to a place that held great meaning to her lineage. She didn't know much about it, but she knew that her father had once lived and ruled as Alpha in this snowy wonderland. Her bi-colored eyes looked up from the ground as she approached the old pack land borders. The very faint scents of Gargoyle and Ocena were two of the many that were combined around the woods, proof that pack wolves had once inhabited the Snowfalls. Odette's heart beat fast and she increased her pace, heading down the solitary trail that led to the old caves. Whatever -- or whomever -- she would find there was unknown to the small female, but she pursued it regardless. Talk like this

Having strayed from the pack lands the wraith her found this place and had quickly learned of it's dangers for a paw had slipped into a hole and later she had nearly slipped into a trench; this didn't stop the phantom in the least as she pressed on. Proving to actually stumble upon a cave of some sort and interest gripping at that mind of hers Abel had ventured into it poking around here and there not finding much to go off of save for many stale scents. As if someone had been living here, no, not someone a pack. They were too old to tell if anyone had been living here currently but it didn't seem like it. However when the winds graced her with a fresh scent the phantom quickly saw the girl coming and before she could be seen the rogue smelling dame hid within the shadows. Knowing her scent consisted nothing but that of her own scent of which happened to be covered by the snow that her fur was tainted with. It had began to snow just a bit before reaching the caves thus she had gotten a decent bit on her small form.

Odette had heard the stories about the Snowfalls and of how her father had once ruled there. She wondered why he had stopped, for the family didn't dwell into details as to why they were rogues living in different places. When Gargoyle had decided to remain at the beach after Ocena's birthing, it was a turn in the right direction for his pups. Odette looked back on learning that they decided to stay longer than planned because of her and her siblings' births and she smiled. She was glad they hadn't gone everywhere like they had talked about. The beach was home. She was beginning to wonder what it would have been like to grow up in the confines of the Snowfalls. So far, it seemed like a smart place to stay and raise a family. Odette imagined herself playing in the snow, having it become her first best friend outside of her siblings. Winter days all year 'round, nothing but snow and chilly winds to wake her up each morning. Snow began to fall as she thought of the 'What if's?' and her head craned up to see the white flakes swirl down towards her. A lovely sight, to be sure. It was then that she sensed another presence nearby. An unknown, fresh scent faintly reached her nose and she became tense. Odette slowly lowered her head and her eyes scanned the surrounding area. Heart rate increased and she listened for any sounds that may give away the stranger's position. The sidestep that had been made caused Odette to run towards a nearby pine. At its roots was a huge pile of snow that gathered its way around its entire circumference. She dug herself in, like a lizard trying to avoid the desert heat. Her large form of six months was able to become completely covered, and only her eyes peeked from the pile she had hidden inside of. She waited to see if anything would happen, or better yet -- if someone realized where she was. Talk like this

Ghostly eyes watched as the fea drew closer and closer proving not to notice the phantom as she stared out from her hiding place among the caves. It was strange that the stranger didn't scent her until nearly being at the caves ghostly eyes blinking as the dame tensed and quickly found a spot to hide at the base of a tree. Proving to smirk as they hurriedly dug out a hole in the snow and hid there like a ground hog it almost made her laugh but Abelinda kept her composer as she decided to step out from the cave with a bored yawn not even looking in the direction that Odette had hid her self in. Flicking an ear as she began to wander off in the opposite direction of the pup simply to test her knowing that the phantom in turn would get some kind of reaction, pretending to take interest as the graceful dame made her way forward. Actually a mouse proved to catch her attention fairly quickly while keeping an ear on the pup; moving forward slowly Abel would stalk the noisy little critter.

She watched with intense fascination as the phantom of a wolf appeared from another part of the surrounding wood. So...she was hiding, too? Odette mentally danced, confident that she had been the reason the grown female had left her hiding spot. In truth, she had a part in the stranger surface, but Odette didn't think that the female had chosen to do it just to get a reaction from her. The young pup had much to learn indeed. Now, Odette had tried to make her form's outline as smooth as possible to prevent the snow from revealing where she had planted herself. When the older female decided to direct her attention elsewhere, Odette's ears perked. This small action caused the surrounding snow to move, making the triangular pieces of flesh look like sonar satellites. They moved in either direction as the wind blew, immediately making them feel colder than they had before. The shivers were sent down Odette's spine, causing the rest of her body to follow in unison. Those small quivers made the rest of her hiding place cave in. Odette's dark-furred form was exposed, like a naked girl in a Playboy magazine. Fragments of her cover up were in small boulders around her, causing her to stand out even more against the white setting. Her tail swept around her and with a resigned sigh, she slowly rose. Paws carried her towards the distracted female, bi-colored eyes watching her with curiosity. She slowly swept her head back to look at her failed hiding place and then back to the woman, softly saying, "I guess I should have done better." Talk like this
