Ardhel spat the salt water out of her mouth, she had just reached the island. It was beautiful here. She stepped out the water and shook herself off. Spraying water everywhere. She had not been expecting anything so nice. She had been paddling about and spotted a small island. It had looked within swimming distance, so she started to swim. It was worth it though. The sun was beating down on her, strange for the fall. She lay down on the beach, the sun warming her. The air might have been warm, but the sea certainly wasn't. She closed her eyes and began to dream.

When she awoke she decided that she wanted to explore more, so she got up and began to wander. Paying no heed to where she was going.

In the early morning the crimson-striped male stretched out in the bit of space he'd used as a den for the night. In his travels he'd happened across an island; naturally his curiosity took over and he swam to it for the night. He'd always been a rather good swimmer ? it was one of the few skills he took pride in. Some wolves he knew of could barely keep afloat. After he took a moment to stretch out, he worked to continue grooming his coat as he'd done the night before; the salt water certainly hadn't been too friendly to it, and now that his fur had dried out, the salt crystals that lingered made his skin itch something terrible.

Ears stood high as a scent filled his nose far different than the salty air that surrounded the place. A female wolf wasn't far off, and as he stood and shook off a bit, he took the short trip down to the shoreline and spotted her almost immediately. She didn't strike him as anything extraordinary, a plain brown pelt not much too look at in his mind ? though he supposed he had no right to judge anyone on the color of their coat, given the fact that nearly everyone judged him based on his own unique look.

With a yawn he trotted down into the sandy shoreline, keeping a distance from the woman. She woke and began to wander a bit; he assumed she had yet to see him. That suited him just fine, and he took to attempting to fish in the waters that encased the island. He'd grown up a fine tracker, but fishing was sadly not one of his specialties. The way the light refracted the image confused him and he often missed his target. Still, he was slightly hungry and in the mood for a snack, and fish seemed to be in abundance here.

OOC: Sorry for the wait.

She had been walking when she had caught sight of the male. He was clearly trying to fish, he wasn't doing that good a job of it. He kept missing the fish. She lurked out of sight, weighing her next move. The male was amazing, well his pelt was. It was a rich dark chocolate, that was not what was interesting. He had crimson swirls, around his eyes, and on his tail. It was very unnatural, strange. She stood there for a few seconds, looking at his exotic pelt. She finally decided to introduce herself.

She stepped out and looked at the wolf. "It is strange to see someone else out here, it is such a lonely island." She didn't give her name, she didn't know why. She didn't exactly trust this man.

OOC: going to say the same thing, sorry for the delay.
