she would trot back from her morning patrol, walking around the borders and remarking the scent boundary. It was a daily chore but well worth it in the long run. It was a measure she took to help protect her family and her home, one that she was able to help Jupiter with and she was glad of it. She knew there was little chance of her physically defending the border, but if she was put to the test she would do so with her life. This was her home this was where she was raising her family, she had to do everything in her power to protect this place.
Thankfully she had her ebony knight, Cherokee to protect her against the monsters that went bump in the night. She couldn't have chosen a better mate, he was as devoted to her as she was to him, he was her other half and her whole world and she could have never raised her pups so well with out him beside her. She noted that it had been quite some time since the two of them had been on a hunt together and decided she wanted to remedy the situation. She wished him by her side, so with a slight tilt back of her head she would summon him to her side, a beautiful howl of adoration. The pups were old enough now to start watching themselves, so the two of them could get collect dinner for the family.

Life was good. Cherokee was at an amazing place in his life. He had the most incredible wife in the world by his side and he was surrounded by the most precious children that could've ever existed. His life was perfect. There was no way that it could get better. Recently, their Sol had promoted himself and Song as betas, but that didn't mean that it would get to their heads. The pair was very humble about their promotions, though they took their responsibilities very seriously. Usually the ebony knight was the one who was out doing patrols, but his wife had begun to insist that they share the responsibility and not being able to deny his little angel anything, the man had caved. Now the pair would switch shifts every day and today it was Song's shift.

Cherokee was still rather hesitant about allowing his wife to patrol the borders. She was his angel, his world, his love and to have her on the front lines in possible danger went against every instinct in his body, but he knew keeping her cooped up in the den would be worse. She needed to feel useful. She wasn't entirely helpless; or at least he hoped she wasn't. Regardless, he would always be there to protect her, even if it meant putting his own life in danger. A quiet sigh would slip past ebony lip, ebony and ivory audits twitching a summoning call rang in the evening atmosphere. A grin pulled his lips apart, limbs pulling the man to his paws. Song was calling for him and he would be a fool to not answer. Sparing a glance at the napping pups, the man would gallop off, powerful limbs pulling him towards his wife, mismatched gaze quickly finding her figure, the organ in his chest skipping a beat at the sight of her.

They had been together for some time now, but every time he saw her, it was like seeing her for the first time all over again. The knight would slow his gallop to a trot and then a walk, a tender smile gracing his features as he approached his wife, burying his muzzle into the side of her neck, breathing in her scent. My angel... He would murmur against her skin, pulling her too him, still unable to believe that she really belonged to him for the rest of his life.

Though Cherokee tried to do his best at keeping her out of harms way she still knew that she had a job to do. He would rather her not be on the border, but holding such a high rank meant that she had to step up and take the responsibilities. She could never have let her husband do it all on his own, though it might have calmed some of his nerves. She smiled at his wonderful memories that filled her mind, but soon enough he was within her eyesight once again. She could feel the butterflies swell within her stomach as his familiar ebony frame made his way to her side. She couldn't help but to reflect the wonderful smile that found his lips as she tried to calm the fluttering beating of her heart.
He would come to stand before her, his presence surrounding her and completing her being. He was beyond a doubt the love of her life. My angel... He would pull her into a close embrace and she would comply, her own face burying herself into the warm ebony fur. Though they scarcely spent any time apart she felt as though she had not spoken to him in a very long time. Just the gentle tone of his deep voice sent her over the edge with emotion. This most wonderful man she called husband was completely hers. "My knight." she would croon as she enjoyed the feeling of his close proximity. "A thought occurred to me that we haven't hunted together in quite some time." She would pull her head away from his warm fur as she placed her gaze upon his mismatched gaze. "I think it time we remedy this." She would smile excitedly.

He wasn't sure what his life had been really before his wife had ever come along. What had his plans been? Where had he wanted to go with his life? He could scarcely remember and he wasn't intent on trying to. That part of his life no longer mattered. This part, the one that included Song and their children and Ludicael did. This was his life now and he was loving every minute of it. Especially this very minute, with his face buried in his wife's neck. She was amazing and wonderful and perfect and angelic and just the most precious creature on the face of the planet. To him anyways and it would always stay that way. Even when they were old and greying, the intensity of his feeling for her would never diminish. Of that he was certain.

She would return his embrace, similarly burying her muzzle into his dark fur, their different colored bodies mingling into single being for a breath in time. A wider smile would split his lips as she would croon in his ear, calling him her knight. His little dove. How he loved her so. She would pull away, expressing her notice that they hadn't hunted together in some time. Reluctantly the man would pull away slightly from his wife, though not enough to completely seperate them, their chests still touching as he gazed down towards her. And what did you have in mind exactly this evening my little dove? I'm game for anything. The ebony man would lean down, salmon tongue swiping across his wife's delicate little nose, wondering what she was craving that night.

Who could have known what Song was to find when she left her birth pack all that time ago. She knew that Ahlon had not been where she was really meant to be and now that she was in Cherokee's embrace there was no other place she thought she could be. Though parting with her mother was painful the end result was more than worth it. She had her soul mate and now her family, and really she had her mother to thank. She was incredibly blessed to have found Cherokee, he was her whole world and her foundation. Everything was for him and their babies, she felt as though their love could never diminish. Her face was ablaze with the delight in him while her skin felt a bit warm in his gaze.
She loved the feeling of their fur touching, if she could she would have never left his side. She loved to look into his eyes, they were so pretty. And what did you have in mind exactly this evening my little dove? I'm game for anything. She loved that he was up to whatever she had to suggest, though she was completely open to any of his ideas. "I don't have anything in mind, I haven't have much spontaneity recently. What ever crosses our path." She smiled wickedly as her confidence rose, nothing could escape the duo. They worked perfectly together, it was a shame it had been so long since they had danced.

Song had no preference as to what she wanted to eat, so it seemed like they would let fate decide what they were having for dinner that evening. Then let's not waste any time my little darling. Our food is waiting. He would nudge his wife gently before beginning to pace forward. As they began to walk forward, his body pressed against hers, he couldn't help but remember the first time they had made love. It had been such a beautiful, magical time. Albeit they were both new at the whole thing, it had been something special and wonderful that the couple had been able to experience together and for some reason, the want to repeat that episode was faintly drumming in Cherokee. He and Song had been so busy taking care of the babies for a while that they hadn't gotten a chance to have any time to themselves. Until now. But would Song want to or would she be more incline to want to hunt instead?

Cherokee was quiet with his raging thoughts as they moved, his senses alert as he watched for any prey that could cross their path. There was nothing that he had to hide from his wife, but for some reason he just didn't feel comfortable bringing up that particular topic. She wasn't in heat, he knew that much, so if they had a little romp, nothing would come of it. But again, he didn't want to seem like he was forcing her or pushing the idea on her. He wanted it to come from her. A quiet sight slipped past his dark jaws as he tried to push those thoughts aside.

She would enjoy his warmth as he slipped past her, his immense presence a comfort to her always. The thoughts of the looming war, the rumors that plagued the lands and the hardships of the coming winter would plague her thoughts but Cherokee always made them seem so much less severe. With him by her side it seemed like nothing could touch her or their family. He would always be there to protect her and the children they had together. Then let's not waste any time my little darling. Our food is waiting. He would continue ahead of her, and instinctively she would fall in line behind him. Happy to follow his lead.
Their children were a live testament to their commitment and love for each other, her devotion to him was one of the largest parts of her life. He was her other half, and she never wished to be with out him. She would speed her steps a bit to walk parallel with him, she noticed he had become rather silent, yes they were hunting but that didn't mean he had to silent himself now. A sigh would emit from the brute's lips, one that Song was scarcely sure she had heard. Surely he was deep in thought, what could he be musing? "what's on your mind, my love?" She would attempt at finding his mismatched gaze with her own.

Being physical with his wife had never been a big issue in their relationship. It hadn't been a pressing issue in his mind at all, especially not when the pups had come along. Even before the pups had arrived, it had been something more to solidify their marriage than to enjoy. Though he wouldn't lie, their first time had been quite pleasurable and of course memorable. But since having the children, the two had dedicated all their time to them and with their new promotions, the new responsibilities had been another thing to take up their time. The time that the couple did spend together was usually sleeping or eating. But for some reason, that wasn't enough for Cherokee at the moment. He wanted to do more than just sleep beside his wife, or bring her an evening dinner. He wanted to love her. To feel her. To touch her. To enjoy her. He wanted to make sweet, perfect love to her like he had never wanted to before, but he just wasn't sure if it was the right time. Would Song even consider that at this point in time?

The man would become quiet, unsure of how to deal with the thoughts running through his mind and the need quietly drumming through his body. Of course Song took notice easily enough, turning to face him as she questioned about what was on his mind. The ebony knight would spare a glance towards his wife before avoiding his gaze once more, pretending like he was scanning for prey. Nothing you should fret over angel. He would answer in a quiet rumble, knowing that he could talk to Song about how he was feeling yet hesitant to do so.
