Worthless... She was worthless. Her confidence was collapsing on it's foundations. She wasn't the Tagavor Abaven needed in the recovery since the typhoon struck Alacritia. The woman needed help. But maybe Bass would allow her to step down for now until she was able enough again. Since the storm, the tempest wasn't who she was before. She had turned back into the timid and quiet girl that had once held her mind before she left Ahlon so many seasons ago. "Why can't I just go back? I just want to be who I was, not who I am now." If she could, she would have wailed endlessly into the dark skies with a plaintive cry. Abaven couldn't hear that. Bass and Motif couldn't either. All she could muster was a howl into the dark lands, calling for her brother.

A call from Harmony was not what he had been expecting that day. He had half the mind to ignore it, she had been so distant since the storm. Vanishing for weeks at a time without so much of a word, Bass didn't know what to think. He loved his sister dearly, but whoever took over Harmony's body had stolen her mind from her. With a sigh he pulled himself to his paws, padding slowly over to the mocha cloaked woman. "What is it Harmony?" He asked, his tone low with the utter confusion he felt. He didn't know what to expect of her any more, or what even happened to the confident sister he once had. Letting out another big sigh, he sat on his rump as his head tilted to the side, a single brow raised as he waited for her answer. He had no idea what this was about, and quite frankly didn't know what to expect of her.

Here he was; the alpha of Abaven, and her brother. Just the sight of him brought tears to the Tagavor's eyes. They beat at her eyes, stinging like fire. She tried to speak, but her voice only came as a croaking noise. She drew her chest inwards, breath shuddering. "I don't feel like myself, Bass..." She wiggled her haunches, bringing her icon closer to her larger kin, mismatched gems dull with emotion. Her flank wanted to meet his. "How..." She shuddered again, voice choking her throat. "... can you always be so strong... so fearless... so powerful? Why is it so hard for me to keep myself together? I hardly feel worthy enough to be the Tagavor." So many questions burned in her heart, which kicked against her ribcage like a rabbit. She wanted to leave Abaven. She wasn't worthy to stay in Bass' ranks. She couldn't even keep herself together without falling apart the next moment she let go.

She was slipping away.

As he watched an emotional Harmony before him, he felt a hardness towards her that he had never felt towards one of his family members before. He loathed the self pity that she was tossing his way, and his head turned away from her. He let out a shuttering sigh, his body shaking as she stepped closer. "I don't know what to say Harmony... I honestly don't. You haven't been around, and I needed you here to train up our healers. With you slipping away like this, Abaven will fall. Xae has been out looking for you, I can't seem to find him either, Esper just had her pups and Nona needs more training." He still would not meet her gaze, his eyes cast to the side as he spoke his words in a soft tone. "I don't know what happened to you... You're not the Harmony I remember before the storm." When she spoke of him staying strong he snorted, his head flashing towards her. "Me? Strong? Ha! Did you see what I was like when Chrono was lost? While my wife is missing? What happened when I lost Irune? I wasn't strong then, was I?" He asked, his tone perhaps a little too harsh. Huffing, the boy snapped his jaws shut and squeezed his yellow eyes closed, a hard breath shooting out of his nose.

When his eyes opened, they were coated in sadness and a feeling of utter loss. "What would you wish me to do? Free you from your rank and from this pack -- our pack?" He asked, vocals hardly above a whisper. "I don't want to do that Harmony, but if I have to I will... I will do all I can if you think that it will help you. I just want to see you back to your old self, I miss my little sister." He said halfheartedly, trying to joust with her a little.

Her white brother was right. He confirmed her thoughts percisely. Not the Harmony that came before the storm, but the one after the storm. He didn't seem to want to be here... And it stabbed Harmony in the heart. She didn't ever want to annoy anyone. Esperanza had given birth to her pups without her help, which she should have been there for, and Nona was still yet an apprentice. She had failed Abaven, indeed. At the sound of being removed from her rank or even Abaven entirely shot a wound into her ribs, the bullet nestling between her bones painfully. Harmony never wanted this. But then the man's mood lightened a bit, a snorting sound emitting from his lips. "But you got right back up. You didn't let those feelings pin you down, did you? Abaven knows that you can be capable of pain, but really, everyone is. That's what makes us unique and individual, and we overcome those weaknesses as one family."

Abruptly, she would stand, a smile forced onto her features and tail slashing the air. "Well, that's enough sadness today... The first step could be playtime. Just like old times." She pondered what Ahlon was doing without their youngest children? Did they have another litter to fill the gap they had left behind? They wouldn't do it that easily, right? That was a thought for later. She whirled about 90? and gave a yip to the skies. "I think Abaven should host a festival... Maybe bind us all ever closer. And bind our allies together so we can fight alongside each other as one family." There already were suggestions and ideas for such an event, but why not. "On that subject... Do you want to spar? I've been practicing."
