The brute wandered the territory aimlessly...he had no idea what he should do today. Something else came up though...a yearning perhaps? Something to tug gently at the corner of his heart until it became more violent? a small gentle tug forming into a pull. And what if at one last pull the force would break his heart and let the blood spill out free? Such a sight that would be, yet impossible to happen. Purple eyes looked around the area taking in the changes of the seasons. Fall was here and so did the leaves well, fall. Obviously...why would he even have to explain that? Nonsense. With an agitated grumble Kairos made his way towards a tree that had one last little leaf hanging from it's branches.

Sitting on his dark haunches did he raise his head and look up towards the leaf. Strange, it still held on when all of the other leaves were already beneath the male's paws. Being crushed by his white toed paws and giving his ears a pleasant sound. Why not fall and join the others than stand alone? Hmmm what if it didn't fall at all? What if it lasted until Spring to be accompanied by new leaves? With a small grin Kairos knew this reminded him of a particular wolf. the one that tugged at his heart, the one who he would gladly see get what she deserved. Newt, the pretty vixen.

Still having his gaze settled on the single leaf Kai lifted his muzzle towards the sky and parted his lips to emit a howl. He called for her, the pretty vixen he desired to see. Wit hopes that the dame would have his lyrics reach her ears Kairos let a small smile grace his lips. Docile, one word. He seemed so calm and thoughtful at the moment. He knew this was him as well, his mother's side. The small percent like her rather than being like his father as a whole. No, make room for mother dearest despite her disdain towards him at moments.Kai wondered if he should go to her and confront her...perhaps say goodbye? Tell her she was right? Give her what she wanted and did not want at the same time?!?! A small huff left his maw as it formed a small puff in the chill of the air.

Closing his eyes for a moment he thought of his fear. That when he did confront her that he would snap. Nightmares appeared in his sleep, invading his dreams. Pushing out the pleasant ones to only replace with horrid images. The same one over and over. Yelling at her, screaming back at him. All she did was give him love and what did he repay her with in his nightmare? What did he give her? She gave him life and he would give her death. Brows furrowed for a moment as Kai opened his eyes revealing the purple orbs. No, he was afraid. He was afraid of what he would become in front of her. Afraid of what he would do. Afraid of the truth. Afraid of giving her something less than she had given him.

Slowly lifting his head upwards again to look at the lone leaf Kairos felt like it too. Alone for once at this moment. Surely he couldn't tell anyone his fears. All one would do would laugh. Would he laugh with them? No...he wouldn't.

With a sudden stronger longing for the pretty vixen he hoped for her to show. He needed her, desired her. And yet Kairos did not know if she even desired him back. Kai knew he would probably never be perfect but he could just be himself right? She had seen his other side. But what of this side? The bittersweet side. He could be nice and thoughtful...but with a bitter follow up at times. He did not know. So many thoughts ran through the bastard's mind. At least he accepted himself right? He liked himself. He respected himself. Would she fully accept him for who he was on the other side? Confusing was he, turning tides of a battle going on in his body, mind, and spirit. Two things put together that shouldn't be...that just shouldn't be. The outcome is him. True looks that can be deceiving when the light shines through. Today was a neutral day. Both sides at peace and rest. Waiting for one to be awoken until the other joins it from it's slumber. Settle down the old and wake up the new. Repeat and repeat and repeat.

This is neither light nor dark.

This...is Kairos.
