This island was covered with birds, it was the most odd thing he had ever seen thus far. White was nearly all he could see in the light over them. Dove's everywhere, roosting in the tree's and even some on the ground, if they weren't so lucky as to have no predators besides the wolves. Though rarely would he see nests near the ground, unless it was an area hard for him to reach. Hajime laughed and stuck his tongue out. Paws planted firmly on the ground as he made an effort to jump to try and catch one. But the snap of his jaws was empty handed in the end.
Hajime landed on his feet perfectly as they flew away. He cursed under his breath as he continued on. This was another island to spend a day on, and then move to the next. It would be perfect for his adventure. After all there was nothing better than knowing where everything was. Or if he'd been there or not. It would take a long time to explore the entire lands. It'd be worth it, until his uncle found him or otherwise.

Gradually he was starting to forget. The pale form of the mother he idolized so, her gentle words and soothing voice, it was all reduced to murmurs. Although he had not realized it, Aeron had grown - he was a year old now, and maturing faster than he could properly keep up with. He missed his siblings, he had figured out at least that much while traveling alone - and yet he lacked the initiative to search for them. Jacques and Silana and Seraphine, he wondered whether he would recognize them if he came across them. He barely recognized his own reflection when he glanced at it in pools of water.

The rippling tides had shown him he looked much more slim than the wolves that he occasionally ran into. His face was sharp and narrow, and his skinny body made his legs look far longer than they really were. He was a bit disheveled, caring nothing about his appearance, only taking it into consideration as he did all else. Briefly, and with a nonchalant attitude that was far from natural or normal.

It was with this same attitude that he traveled the islands. Each one was so different, and none of them had been mentioned to him previously. His mother had not cooed stories of little floating territories, the murmurs did not whispered tales of tiny kingdoms on the sea. And yet here they were. Aeron couldn't help but be perplexed. That little luring hint of a curiosity carried him further and further, until he reached this once speck and now somewhat larger land mass. His ears twitched, hearing soft fluttering in the distance. Fluttering that was followed by a small group of birds emerging from the trees.

White birds, they reminded him of something beautiful, but it was a bit strange. Why were so many roosting here? His curiosity piqued, he traveled closer to where the birds had come from, only to realize that he wasn't here alone. The avians had been scared by another of his kind. Another wolf.

Using the little he had learned from interactions with other wolves, he stood before the red eyed brute, staring passively with his own bi-colored ones. "I am Aeron." No, that didn't seem right - furrowing his brows, he quickly tried again. "Um... hello? I didn't think anyone else would be on these floating territories." They seemed to float, to simply rise out of the sea. For a young brute that knew nothing of how landmasses were created it was completely illogical and a bit of a miracle.

Hajime was rather surprised when someone else approached him, let alone had a bit of trouble saying hello. The large man stood tall, and then lowered his head towards the yearling. Much smaller than him, considering that he stood at 35" in height. His light brown coat fluffy and he was becoming more and more like an adult, more than he noticed really. After leaving his mothers side with his uncle everything seemed to have just warped around him. He turned towards the lighter boy and offered a kind smile. At least he was trying, and hadn't run into a wolf who'd tear him to pieces for no reason in that aspect. The male's red eyes could be a little unsettling, but his body language should have been enough to tell the yearling that he meant no harm. Hajime dipped his head, he had run into a lot of younger wolves lately. For some reason it was like they flocked to him.
"Well Aeron, it's nice to meet you, my name is Hajime. You never know when and where you'll meet someone." He said in a polite tone. Aeron was alone? Hajime had seen a lot of that. He himself had been alone for some time, but he hung out with his Uncle every now and then. Even though the man enjoyed calling him King, which made him a bit unsettled as to what others would start to think of him. "These floating lands are called islands. I'm not sure if they float or not, since they don't change location, but they are indeed different." Hajime said looking at the birds in their nest. Such weird creatures that perched here. Dove's, were supposed to be magical birds for some reason according to Riv's mentor. The tiger, who had spent some time around humans before escaping to the wilds. Hajime had heard many many strange stories, about the world and all its wonders.

The other was larger than he was, but that had never fazed him before and he had done quite a bit of growing since the last time he had spoken to another lupine. Aeron watched him somewhat blankly, but curiously as his eyes followed the other's movements as he turned his head downward to face him. For a moment he thought that he had gone about introducing himself incorrectly, which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, or even really a surprise, but the stranger answered him. He said that it was nice to meet him - and the gray yearling's eyes narrowed just slightly, the question as to whether he was telling the truth about that lingering along with this brown brute's words.

His tone was strangely pleasant, and it instinctively calmed the younger male. Although he wasn't quite what one would call cautious, the slight tentativeness eased out of him, and he nodded to the other's statement. You really never knew when you would run into someone - it seemed that more usual places for wolves to be were quite when Aeron passed them by. "Hajime." He repeated during a pause, and the name sat nicely on his tongue. A good name - the boy liked it. It wasn't intricate like Basalisk or sweet like Silana, it felt foreign, and probably sounded strange coming out of Aeron's mouth since he was used to French tongue. "Islands. At first I thought they may be heaven, little paradises on the sea." It seemed that his strange train of thought had led to him momentarily believing in a fantasy. Had he been looking for paradise?

He didn't think so, he was simply going wherever he saw fit, wherever his feet carried him.

"But if they float, they may still be special." With that, he was content. "Doves seem special too." This island would always strike him as different than the others - perhaps once he left, he would come here again. It was rare for the boy to revisit a place, but like those bitter cold northern regions, he found himself drawn here.

Hajime listened to the younger wolf with interest. He showed no signs of being distrustful or evil in that matter. His red eyes showing the utmost curiosity in the words that were erupting from the male's mouth. The prince turned his body, looking up at the white birds that covered the tree's. He spoke the truth though, and when you were younger the world seemed to be the most mysterious place of all. Without all the hurt, and all the darkness. There was the joy of thinking of magic, and when you were pulled into reality. It tore you apart, and you had to decide for yourself what you were going to do. Growing up sucked, but Hajime decided it hadn't been that bad. After the way his mother raised him, he was glad he had such a girl who gave birth to him. Though sadness came to him when he couldn't even remember his father, nor would he since he died before he was born. He only had fake images from the description from the huge forty inch tall black male with red eyes. His black tail flicked back and forth as he took in a deep breath, Aeron was definitely taking him on a trip through his thoughts, that was for sure.
"Perhaps they are paradise's of the past. And could lead us on a journey to find out more about ourselves." Hajime wondered about it, as he lowered his snout to the ground and huffed up some of the dry dirt among the roots of the tree's. His black ear pointing towards Aeron. He had made a new friend as far as he was concerned. He enjoyed anyone's company if they weren't hostile. Hajime turned towards Aeron and gave a smile. Weather he took it to offence or not was up to him. "Where do you come from Aeron? Do you have any family here on Alacritis?" He asked with a tilt of his head. Hajime definitely had family, it wasn't much of one, but it was one. Far better than his grandfather though, who had been born rotten. Perhaps Hajime had inherited some of his qualities, but they were far more mild. He had no desire to harm others unless he thought of it otherwise justified.
"I move around with my uncle at times, my mother is part of Seracia but I haven't spoken to her since I turned a year old. We lives in a desert forest area and moved here after most of our family died." Hajime explained. Wondering if it would make any of the difference to get closer to the young man. He had been meeting more and more wolves as of late. With his uncle no where to be seen. Haji was on a simple adventure it seemed, and he was totally alright with it. He was even in half of his mind to join a pack. If he ever uprooted and found the right one. The one that wouldn't judge him that was.
