Nights had been filled with the dark figure, her Kng of the Night, Kusugra. She did not sleep , could not. He demanded all her time in the dark shadows of the night. And she was more than willing to give it. She was so fascinate with the black jagaur. Just the thought of him had the earthen toned wolfess shiver. She could not explain it, it just, well she could not even find words for it. Petite female shook her head as she emerged on the water plain.

Sea green eyes sparkled as the sun showed it's warm glow from behind her. It was a nice cool morning and the tide was in, causing the water to glimmer.Tiny paws waded into the water with expert ease and grace. This was a fisher's paradise! Tail wagged softly behind her with delight. The water shimmered with soft pastel yellow and blues. Amid the sea plain she stood, eyes focused on the waters. Ever so gentle she pawed at the sand to stir up any hidden fish. A flash and her head darted forward, jaws snapping closed on a tiny fish. At once she chewed it up before looking again. Prickly balls she knew to avoid, some starfish could be edible but any she saw had spikes too. Body shook as she continued to scavange, full unaware of what might be around her watching. Her mind now in days was souling on Kusugra or fishing. But also this new heat cycle of her's. She had tried to avoid any wolves, unsure what might happen. Even hidding from her own brother.

The water felt pleasant on such a warm Autumn day. Why this sudden stroke of heat, he was not sure. What he was sure of was that he hated it. Heat came from sunshine and sunshine was just such a mood killer. His paws played against the silvery surface mindlessly, so mindlessly that he almost miss the approach of another wolf. He really was loosing his cool like that other wolf Maija had said. No, he didn't want to think of that devil woman. She was insane and rude. Why bother with such a creature?

Moving back, he was sure to be careful of any noise he may make. He avoided the obvious, the twigs and the faulty rocks. His footsteps were nearly silent. A odd clumping of cyprus trees would provide his decent cover, so he made his way towards them. Slipping in between their trunks, Dempsey waited patiently to see this new arrival.

The female that showed herself was not what he had been expecting. She was small and a fisher. He had not met a fisher before. This intrigued him and so he avidly watched her work. She looked as though she was enjoying herself, almost like she was playing a game. Dempsey wished he could say this about his work. His work was emotionless and cold. No one could ever enjoy it unless they were truly insane, but it was work none the less and he was admittedly good at it.

Creeping closer he watched her with sparkling platinum eyes. A waft of her heat hit him clearly in the face, but he shook his head to clear his nasty thoughts. No, he was too interested in her work to stop her now.

She moved her way around, checking dark holes and under rocks. She had snatched up few more fish and even a tiny starfish, only to spit it out and toss her head from how nasty it was. Whatever kind of starfish it was, it was not going on her list of things to eat. With a snort she moved farther out into the plain. Body jerked in surprise eyes sea green orbs spotted a crab. She grined before she shoved her head down along with paws. Crabs were tricky, and it hurt when they pinched you. With a good eye she had placed a paw down on each claw and jaws crushed down powerfully on its face. With a grunt she yanked up to pull the claws off the body. The force nearly had her falling back on her rump.

She scrambled for her footing to gather the pieces of the crab. Once all three pieces were in her jaws she navigated her way back to the shore. But she was not done fishing. Small prey like this ment more time spet catching enough to fill you up. She had not noticed the male hiding in the cyprus. She waded back out only to find a rather large fish, nearly calling her name. She froze, tail held high to the point of curling over her back. With a soft growl she leapt straight up into the air to come down on top of the fish. Water flew everywhere, soaking her. In the commotion it was hard to tell if she had grabbed the fish. She zipped one way then the other. A final pounce had the fish in her jaws. Pleased with herself she pranced back to shore but was mind full of the spikey dangers under her.

Nearly to the shore her eyes noticed the dark shadow among the tree. Her gaze narrowed till she made out the other wolf. Slowly she made the rest of the way to the shore and set the fish down with her crab. "Do...you want some?" She called out softly. Honestly she did not like when others hiding from her. It made her wary and skittish. The only way she could think to draw him out was offering some of her catch.

Dempsey eyed the fish and the crab appreciatively. It had been ages since he had had any seafood. Catching fish was not a skill he possessed, though he really should learn since he enjoyed their taste so much. "I would like some miss, but do you have enough to share? I will not take your meal away," As he said this he stepped out of the shadows. The big grey brute stopped several feet from her. She seemed skittish and he didn't want to scare her.

She was fortunate really that Dempsey was not an overly mean wolf. Yes, he had his moments, but right now he was more interesting in her trade than in her. It was blatantly obvious that she had not grown up in a society of warriors that were wary at every step. No, she probably had a safe childhood where she was taught to be nice and everyone else was nice. Mentally, Dempsey rolled his eyes, but internally he was jealous as well. His childhood had not been an easy one. His father was cruel and could never be pleased. It was something that would scar Dempsey for the rest of his adult life.

Tending to stay in the back round more often than not, Dempsey no longer liked the spotlight even though he was bred for it. Yes, he said bred for it. His father was the leader of a pack and had chosen a specific female whom he thought would give him the best heirs. He never knew his mother well. The poor pup had not been given that comfort because father dearest had thought it would make his pups too feminized.

Realizing too late that he had zoned out and was furrowing his brow, he shook his head to clear his thoughts. "I am sorry miss." Dempsey knew his face must have looked absolutely horrid to her. "I was recalling an old memory. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant one." Sitting on his haunches he stared at her with platinum eyes and a slight smile on his face. Genuine smiles were rare for Dempsey, but he thought she may deserve one. "They call me Dempsey by the way."
