Oracle
. . .

Oracle was climbing the rocks the cliff that reached up behind the den, she didn't know where the others had gone and didn't particularly mind, she liked being alone sometimes, and the day was beautiful a golden sun sat high in the sky doing its best to fight against the winter chill that was starting to creep into world. She was not afraid of heights, and her paws carried her higher into the rocks, where the noisy birds had their nests. these cliffs where always full of treasures, bird skulls broken egg shells and feathers covered some of the craggy ledges and she always returned with at least one treasure to add to her collection. she was getting larger now spending most of the day exploring the cove she had learnt where the best hiding spots where and what spots hid the best treasures. she had yet to venture beyond the coves where ma, pa and the rest of the family some times went to get food and plants.

her foot slipped on a loose stone and she refocused her attentions, she wasn't so high that a fall would kill her but it would hurt up ahead she saw what she was looking for a seagull nest, the nest was deserted left over from the last year but feathers littered the ground sniffing carefully around oracle located a new treasure a broken open crab shell this one was huge no like the tiny ones that scuttled around on the beach that her mother liked to watch and she liked to chase, for a moment she wonder how it had reached the cliffs, could a bird have even lifted it? but it was of little importance. the monster crabs carapace, the only part left by the gulls was as large as Oracle's head. Gently she picked it up it wasn't as heavy as she thought it would be and she manage to maneuver herself so she could trot back down the cliff face.

she was half way down with her new treasure when she realized there was some one else on the beach, little eyes narrowed squinting against the sun and the reflection off the water but there was no mistaking the black and white makings on the pup. Dropping the crab shell she called out excitedly ?Gala! you?ll never guess what I found,? grinning widely her tail beating behind her she lifted her prize once more continuing down to the sand.

"Speech."
