fame, liquor, love, give it to me slowly

The young pup found himself on Ludicael's lands once more, his adventure in Tortuga still fresh enough in his mind that Oberon was content to stick around Ludicael's lands for a while. They had plenty of entertainment for a while, anyways, and Oberon had found the world to be a strange place. For the time being, he was content to bask in the normalness of Ludicael's lands. To another wolf, the waters that glowed at night might have been strange, but to Oberon, they were the only semblance of normality that he had ever known. It was the rest of Alacritia that was weird to the pup.

He was padding through the heart of Ludicael's territory at the moment, with no particular destination in mind. His ears swivelled as he tried to pick up the sounds in the area around him, and Oberon remained observant as he picked his careful way along. He paid attention to the world as he moved, trying to see if he could detect the sounds of any others in the area. Surely there would be other wolves out and about? It was a fine late summer day, toeing the line between warm and cold; exactly the kind of temperature that Oberon liked.

Other wolves had to realize how then nice the weather was! It would be one of the last days that a wolf could go for a swim, after all, which had been Oberon's eventual goal all along. He just hadn't decided where he wanted to swim.

Ludicael was growing more and more, it was nice, meeting new people and getting to know them. Wonderful to see how they were growing. And speaking of getting to know packmates, green eyes fell upon the form of Oberon, one of Jupiter's children who she didn't really speak to much. He would be a year old come Winter. She would shake her head, thinking how crazy it was how it seemed like only yesterday he had been born.

Today she would get to know him. "Oberon!" She called, voice loud enough for him to hear but not startle the boy, friendly like usual. The woman would make her way up to the boy, dipping her head in greeting, walking alongside him with a smile. "How're you doing?"

"normal.
talk.
think.
you."

The young male stirred when his name was called out, lifting his head as his gaze sought out the form of the wolf who had addressed him. It took him a short few moments before his gaze was settling on the familiar cream and tan form of Aria - their Borealis. If her rank had changed, he was entirely unaware of that. "Aria," He inclined his head respectfully towards the female as she approached, tail flicking in answer to the slight dip of her head.

He was still young, but not quite a pup anymore. Oberon was awkwardly aware of the fact that he fell somewhere in between adult and child, and that he wasn't sure how he ought to handle himself anymore. There had been little change in his demeanor as he had grown; Oberon had remained as quiet as ever, largely keeping to himself, and today had been no exception until Aria approached him. Still, wolves were social creatures at heart. He could no more live entirely on his own than he could breathe underwater. "I am well," Oberon murmured at last, twitching his ears, "And you?" Oberon queried, genuinely interested in how the female was doing.

No one could say that Oberon didn't care about his family, and he considered all of Ludicael to be his family. It was an extensive family, but the only family he had ever known and he would look after them. To Oberon, things were that simple.
