Glaciem. Oddity never thought he'd meet such a group. He was a wolf and he didn't even understand their mentality himself. Maybe because of the odd way he grew up, it was in his name after all. Although, that didn't matter. His personality was on the boderline of becoming a sociopaths killer after all. Oddity had pledged his loyalty to Isar though, and that wasn't something he was going to break, he had bet his life on it and so he was chained in something a lot more dark than his entire life had been. Not even the blood of his count of victims on his paws could amount to the time when he met the king. His two different colored eyes nearly moved out of his head at the beauty of the white ghost. So now he was learning the ways of these wolves.
They treated females in a different way then he was used to, but he wouldn't say anything being a new member and a lower one at that. He sat at the edge of the hill he had found. Looking at the various tree's spread apart here. It was like a clean slate again, after going so far around the land of alacritis this was where he had ended up after all. He was still new to the place though he wanted to go all the way around the land. It would take him a week, maybe even more, but he figured it was worth it in the back of his mind. Oddity was rather bored if he was honestly thinking of that. He sighed flicking his tail as he looked outward. Wasn't there anyone he could converse with today?

Glaciem was growing. He could see it everyday. His father was doing well with recruiting new members, most of them being females of course, but he had heard that his father had recruited a new male. Taurig thought that was a bit strange, given that he himself was the only other brute in the pack besides his father. The only logical explanation for the appearance of this new man would be that his father was recruiting warriors to guard and protect the family. But would this new man and then men after him be good enough to protect the females? If his father giving them sanctuary, then they had to be, didn't they?

The newly promoted knight was a on a mission today; meet new members. He needed to familiarize himself with all of Glaciem's members, women and men alike, but especially now with the males with the possibility of war looming on the horizon. If they were going into battle, he needed to know who was going to fight beside him and if he could trust them, which was why was out in search for the new man today. He'd caught his scent along the border, mixed in with his father's and had used it to track him that afternoon. It hadn't taken him too long, a dark silhouette coming into his icy view. The man was considerably smaller than him, as most were, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a good warrior. Or maybe it did. He wouldn't know until he saw the man in action. Inky limbs glided smoothly across the snowy terrain, bringing the Knight closer to the man, dark jowls parting as he called out to him. You must be one of the new members? It was a stupid question since it was clearly obvious given he'd never seen the man before, but he might as well throw it out there. I am Taurig, son of the King, at your service. He presented a slight bow to the ebony man, halting at a respectable distance, icy eyes assessing the brute as he waited for a response.

Oh crap, another male had come to him. Well it was to be expected, being in a pack and all. Oddity was simply not use to it was all. He was used to being solitary until he had killed his father when his life had been in danger to not do so. Oddity after all was not capable of feeling bad for those who were hurt or in pain. Regret was not in his vocabulary either. Just as the dark male confronted him Oddity was surprised on the way he was treated. The King's son? Then why was he being bowed to, a prince of such rank shouldn't have been greeting a newcomer with such ease. Oddity wasn't quiet sure how to handle it. Yet, he bowed his head, bi colored orbs looking him up and down. So that white a pink coloring the king had was rare within their genes? Such a great kind of being deserved the rank as he had. It interested him. And this man, so lucky to be his son. Oddity was a bit jealous. Though he couldn't be not in his position anyway.
"I am sorry my lord, I was a bit confused on how you confronted me, with a bloodline such as yours. You must be busy as it is." Oddity laughed in the same monotone and in a little bit in a uncomfortable state. As he tilted his head. Pulling up his head to show off the long and painfully looking scar on his neck chest and shoulder he spoke again. "My name is Oddity. I'd be willing to help you any day my lord. As though my curiosity does get in my way sometimes." Oddity answered sitting down finally and curling his tail around his paws. This was an adventure all in itself though. There was no one way to go back to the great blackness this way, and there was no one way things could go right as well. Never had he put his life on the line for someone else. Not since he had killed his own father to avoid getting killed. He guess it was a final test from the nameless man who had raised him.

The man was nothing extraordinary to look at. His coat was of a pure ebony, though his eyes were a bit strange. One blue and then other silvery in appearance. Though smaller than the titan, the man looked as if he could have the possibility of becoming a good warrior, with the right training of course. He completed his assessment of the man quickly, powerful haunches folding beneath the Knight as he seated himself before the smaller drake, ears attentive as words began to flow his ebony jaws. I am sorry my lord, I was a bit confused on how you confronted me, with a bloodline such as yours. You must be busy as it is. Lord? Taurig was no lord. Just because he was the son of the King didn't mean that he was a lord. Dark brows furrowed together at the word, one ear flattening against his skull at the man's uncomfortable laugh. Just who exactly was this man? My name is Oddity. I'd be willing to help you any day my lord. As though my curiosity does get in my way sometimes. Again with the lord. Taurig tried ignoring it as much as he could, focusing on what he was actually saying when he introduced himself as Oddity, offering up his help whenever it was required. Well...The Knight wasn't sure what to think of Oddity.

It's very nice to meet you Oddity, but please call me Taurig. Being the King's son does not put me above anyone else. And your help would be most welcome whenever you can spare a moment. Curiosity is nothing to be looked down upon, unless of course it distracts one from doing their job. If I may, what purpose do you have here in Glaciem? He didn't mean to sound like he was interrogating the man, but he wanted to know just why exactly Isardis had allowed him a place among the Glaciem ranks.

Yes Oddity was as it stands. He was different from the rest, he was disconnected from the world. He had been a child of the greatest devil alive. Who hid within the dark, but Oddity had come out on top. As was he unsure of the world he had come to know and thought of. Though he still had his fathers teachings embedded in his head, was what he was doing really his choice and morals? Oddity flicked his ears, yes a father did not matter. Yet, he was still wondering what it was like to be the kings son. The king, only from one encounter Oddity wanted to cry at how impressed he was, how sad he was from an emotional state that he wish that had been the male he had come from. Oddity had never met his mother, as far as he knew he simply appraised her for giving birth and giving him life in such a manner as he was now. "Taurig, that's a rather nice name. Befitting of a wolf such as yourself." He wasn't referring to being Isar's son this time. Just simply the way he filled out, his size as well. Yet within Glaciem Oddity felt as if he shouldn't be afraid regardless of who was here. A pack was a unit after all. They were here under collectives of survival under the kings rule.
"At first I was curious about what a pack was. And this happened to be the closest one, but your father rather intrigued and opened my eyes to a new world. I am not familiar with a normal life of a wolf. My father secluded me from the world. But, I want to learn. Things confuse me dearly, so I am here to learn and hopefully get a grasp of who I am and who I can trust and give my trust to." Oddity tilted his head, still a habit of his as his ear flicked. He hoped these answers were acceptable. After being so used to lying, telling the truth was pulling over a hurdle. Lying was a part of his life like it was eating and sleeping. When it came to enemies or the fear of being killed, he was a truthfully good liar. As he pulled his head back straight again. His emotionless gaze sat upon Taurig, wondering if it made any difference what their bloodline was. Or rather if the world sought them in a different way every time.

Taurig, that's a rather nice name. Befitting of a wolf such as yourself. Well Oddity was a befitting name to the new Glaciem man, though the Knight wasn't about to voice that opinion out loud lest he offend the man. And he didn't want to offend Oddity; he was pack now after all. A simple bow of his head in silent thank you was presented to the dark brute, expectant gaze meeting Oddity's mismatched one as he waited for his question to be answered. At first I was curious about what a pack was. And this happened to be the closest one, but your father rather intrigued and opened my eyes to a new world. I am not familiar with a normal life of a wolf. My father secluded me from the world. But, I want to learn. Things confuse me dearly, so I am here to learn and hopefully get a grasp of who I am and who I can trust and give my trust to. So he was right in saying the man fit his name. Never lived in a pack? How could that be? Wolves (most apparently) were born into packs or eventually joined one. A lone wolf usually didn't last very long.

Well Oddity, I would like to extend my own welcome to Glaciem and I do hope that you can learn what you want to learn here. If ever you need help with something, never hesitate to ask for my help or any other members' help, I'm sure they too would be willing to help a fellow packmate out. He smiled warmly at the man, hoping that he would be able to make the adjustment to pack life rather smoothly. If not, the Knight would try to help him as much as he could.

It wouldn't have been the first time someone had said something about his name. It wasn't like he had chosen it though. It was a burden his father put on him and he was odd after all. Oddity nodded his head with a flick of his tail. This was great he was getting along with the other members already. Far from the stretch of his killing spree he had before reaching here. Should he tell taurig about that? Oddity wasn't sure what was to share and what was to not. He hadn't come in contact with many wolves in his life. The well muscles male had always been that way. He was one of the few loners who had no problem getting along alone. Although now, it seemed a bit boring like he had nothing to do. So he would learn, that was his best bet in the end.
"I would like to train with you some day if that's alright. You see, my father secluded me from the world, I have not been in contact with many wolves unless they were my own victims. I've killed my fair share of wolves, but I may lack a few skills here and there" Oddity figured killing wolves was a part of every day life. In the end where he stood was because of every life he had taken. He was alive today because he had forced another to give him the power. Their life Sucked into the ground into the great blackness. There was something just plain wrong with Oddity, but he couldn't help it. Trying his best to fit in, wasn't always the same as giving his all to survive.

I would like to train with you some day if that's alright. You see, my father secluded me from the world, I have not been in contact with many wolves unless they were my own victims. I've killed my fair share of wolves, but I may lack a few skills here and there. So far Oddity didn't seem like such a bad man, that is until the last set of words slipped from his lips. I have not been in contact with many wolves unless they were my own victims. This man had victimized wolves. He had made them his victims. Was Isardis aware of this man's past? Killing other wolves for no other reason than to kill them went against Taurig's moral sense of code. The only time it was acceptable to kill another wolf would be during war or if the second wolf was endangering his life or the life of his family. Would Oddity revert back to his old ways? The Knight certainly hoped not or else he would bring this to attention of his father or take care of it himself.

Well, just tell me when I will be sure to find you to train. He made no comment about Oddity's having killed wolves before. He wasn't sure the reasons behind having killed wolves, but he wasn't too sure that he cared really. He was on the fence now about this man, unsure if he could fully trust him or if somewhere deep inside him his old ways still weren't completely gone. Taurig decided not to write him off completely. He would keep an eye on him and if Oddity proved to have surpassed his old ways, then he would be in good with the Knight.

Oddity's father had taught him to carefully pick out victims. Those who begged for their life to be taken, or those who had raped, and killed the innocent. So it was not all in bad favor. Since he was here in this new world though, his head was opened up to new possibilities. He could feel Taurig not liking him already and that was the least the man wanted. Oddity gave a sigh and lowered his head to the knight. "Yes sir." He said in a mellow tone. He was still a bit off by all of this. He didn't understand, perhaps he had lied when he said he wanted to grasp himself. Maybe he wanted others to tell him who he was like his father had?
"I apologize for anything that may have upset you. I'm not used to....wolves in general." He had killed his father out of survival though. After his mind had rotted away the man lunged at the two year old wolf without a second thought. So Oddity had killed him, though he hadn't felt bad about it. He had always wondered why as well. Why was he so different from the rest. So not controlling, and distant as the world looked at it.

He wasn't sure what the history was behind Oddity's killing, but he assumed that he would find out later on. Whether it was later on in the conversation, or later in his time in Glaciem, the Knight didn't doubt the whole story would come to light sooner or later. The man gave a sigh at his words, dropping his head he responded with a meek yes sir. He appreciated that Oddity was so respectful, but he didn't need to go around calling him sir. They were practically the same age, if not around the same age. Just because he was the prodigy of the King meant nothing. He would have to have the man work on calling him by his name and not by sir or lord.

I apologize for anything that may have upset you. I'm not used to....wolves in general. Taurig shook his head, unaware that his inner feelings had been translating across to Oddity. Do not apologize Oddity, it's just that you are the first wolf I have come across with...that kind of past. I was simply surprised, that's all. No need to apologize for having done something in the past. He didn't want the man to feel that he didn't like him because he did. He just wasn't sure if he could trust him yet.

Oddity wasn't sure what he was doing. It was just so uncomfortable for him in a way. He could just feel how awkward and judgmental it was, was all. Though he could get used to it after all. It was only his first day in the pack. Yet his question was still lingering in the back of his mind. Oddity built up the courage to say it as he looked at Taurig. "This is probably the last thing I will ask you about your life. My father wasn't a very nice man. What was the king like as your father?" Oddity also slightly was curious about his mother.Yet heritage meant a lot to the boy even though one could prove to be better after all. Oddity's ears perked over to Taurig, wondering if his question was too over bounds.
Things were looking up for the boy at least. He had that to look forward to in the end. Now he had a new home, and something to fight for. As he would learn what a pack was about. If he was lucky, his name wouldn't exactly fit him anymore after all. His bi colored orbs looked over Taurig, wondering, what kind of man was really hidden behind those strands of fur.

He was feeling rather uncomfortable and out of place with the man Oddity. Even though he was now his new packmate, the Knight didn't know what to exactly make of the ebony draped man. But one couldn't just a book by its cover, or rather a wolf by its looks or past. Taurig was willing to give the man a chance. Everyone deserved at least a first chance. This is probably the last thing I will ask you about your life. My father wasn't a very nice man. What was the king like as your father? How was his father as a father? There wasn't much of answer for Oddity in regards to that. Isardis wasn't much of a father to begin with. Glaciem came first, his Kingship more important than anything. The Knight assumed his members came second, but he wasn't very sure where he fell on that scale, since he was practically grown already and was capable of taking care of himself.

You may ask whatever you wish to know Oddity, it doesn't bother me in the least. But in regards to that, I don't really know what to tell you. I just met my father this past season and at the moment he has been far too busy with pack affairs to pay much attention to me. But I don't mind. I knew this type of thing would happen coming in. Besides, I am a man now, perfectly capable of handling myself. A nonchalant shrug was given after his final words, giving off the air of little importance. And it was no show, only true honesty.

So he was not born of blood? Or was it just the king had rarely achieved time for the man when he was a child? Either way Oddity's mind was now clear and he was glad that things had finally been able to be settling down. Taurig was Taurig, and no one else. There were a million wolves in this world, and not even one was the same. Oddity would have to grasp that himself, but it brought a smile to his face as he wagged his tail and gave out a uncontrollable happy bark. He pulled himself back and nodded his head. "What kind of duties do I have Taurig, apart from protecting the females? If there something else I can be of service?" He asked curiously.
He would like to know where he would stand here. Oddity didn't want to be a nobody forever. After all, he already had the urge to make children who would be obedient to the king in his great appearance. Though that was just something to think about in the future. He had to gain Isar's trust, and he intended to keep it after all. Oddity wouldn't allow the fact that he was male, hinder the trust of his comrades.

What kind of duties do I have Taurig, apart from protecting the females? If there something else I can be of service? Were there any other duties he could be of service in? Taurig wasn't too sure what else there was for males to do other than just be guardians for the females. I wouldn't be too sure Oddity. That would be something that you would need to take up with my father. I do pardon for having to leave so suddenly, but it is time that I start my rounds of patrol for the day. It was a pleasure to meet you Oddity and perhaps we will be seeing each other more often. A bow was presented to the ebony man, limbs unfolding from beneath him as he rose, turning away and going back the way he'd come, prepared to do yet another boring round of patrols.
