Break It & Burn

they were returning to Valhalla, his family, and his mate, Eos. It was true to say no one in Valhalla knew they had chosen the road they were on, and so he hoped that it would at least bring good news to them. After all, it was six extra members they were gathering, one should think a Queen or King happy for such an addition, especially a family produced of such high caliber genetics. Their children would be nurtured into young king's and queen. Syrinx would expect no less. Eos, and himself, in tow with their children, all females, who would have thought, arrived on the Valhallan borders, and though he expected natural curiosity from his children, he presented them with silence, merely stepping before the borders, kneeling to take scent, and showing them the process. Showing them that as one reached the borders it was only proper protocol to call for the lead of the land- in this case their Aunt. A long drawn howl would rumble from the lips of the site, his tail lashed in untamed dominance. Yes, they were indeed returning to a world he should have been leading, and though it was true to say Chrysanthe was a leader above him in hierarchy, he had never been one to play the subservient role and was unsure he could play the part even beside his sister. He knew that the gut-wrenching feeling would most likely return to Eos as she came back to Valhalla, as it had only bad memories for her, and she had broken ties with it to feel nothing, but regardless of it's sentiment, or lack thereof, to her, he had said they would only stay until their brood had grown into true Adravendi. It was all he expected. No more. No less.
"Speech!".
Lightly the banshee would step, limbs swinging like loose hinges; so ready to dart either way should any trouble arise. Not that the woman suspected it would, no; she was wary, cautious within Valhalla, but not for fear, and not for any nauseating hunches. She had left the sun-bleached lands for more reasons than granted her reluctant return; Syrinx wanted their children to be exposed to their family ties, and to their safety. But why? At least half of the tiny three month olds that frolicked so clumsily at her paws were far too busy with their youth, their lack of knowledge and lack of care, to pay attentions or be influenced by such meagre and pointless things. For the better too; Eos refused to raise her daughters as plastic?s, little pathetics who bowed before a leader and gave somebody their respect purely due to a relation in family name.
She would never understand Syrinx?s desires to return, and as the russet woman approached, it only became more and more obvious exactly how potent the discomfort that rolled her veins truly was. As her mate would pause by the borders, presenting his ways to his offspring, Eos would jitter, excessively guarded and find refuge a good distance from where Syrinx stood. She had told him she would try, but the looming lands ahead of them, so potent with the disgusting stench of other wolves, would slowly begin to drive her towards the edge of tailing. She had left leadership because she despised being flocked by excessive numbers, and now she was here? Pitiable. Her tail would stand level with her spine, ears flat against the curves of feminine scalp, no suggestion of submission evident as she would allow Syrinx the pleasures of addressing their siblings and watching their children; neither much interested her.
Quote:Her parental possessions demanded she follow them, and for now Vyvienne would comply. Although young, she was not foolish enough to believe she could overpower any adult. For now she would comply, following silently, acidic gaze observing her siblings as she headed towards the border. Upon arrival her nose would crinkle up, the scent of pack both unfamiliar and undesired. ?Stink,? she spoke, a simple word that described how she felt. Her face would remain screwed up, but she would recline onto her haunches, willing to listen to whatever happened.
Her gaze would flicker between her siblings, tracking her more easily controlled possessions with her ever watchful gaze. If they strayed too far from her she would chase them down; for now, however, she sensed they would all obey. Vyvienne had yet to truly shove her weight around and assert her ownership, but she was the largest child, the eldest (well, the exception being the child her mother had let suffocate), and she would have plenty of time to demonstrate this simple fact to them. For now she was composed, for now she was more concerned with the stink than if her belongings would decide to wander away from her.
And then she noticed that they were not alone... 'Pups?' The little girl that had gotten there first was an obvious mixture of her parents. Chrysanthe was shocked - neither of her siblings seemed the type to have children, let alone with each other! It was a practice that was more taboo than she knew how to immediately handle, but it wasn't so much of an issue than it was something that she had to wrap her head around. "They are yours." The alpha would half question - but seeing the children, she recognized them as family regardless of their origins. "Congratulations." She tried to keep the grin off of her face, but really, Syrinx as a father? It was almost too much to believe.
She wasn't sure where their parents were dragging them off to, but she knew she had no choice but to follow. She fell into step beside her siblings. No one ushered a word for most of the journey. She could tell her mother was tense, however her father was not. It confused her, and concerned her, she didn't like it when her momma was upset. Tiny paws kissed the earth, fluffy pelt still not yet defined. Nose crinkled when they finally did stop and foreign smell hit her. She didn't like it. It smelled of too many wolves. "Why are we here?" She asked, walking up beside her father as his nose dropped the ground silently. Out or sheer curiosity she mimicked him, and she didn't like what she smelled. Backing away she went to sit beside her mother. It wasn't long before another wolf joined them. She didn't know this woman. But she seemed to know father. She greeted them, but Sevan wasn't listening. Blue and silver eyes looked over the oddly colored woman, her pelt milky but her face coated in brown. A frown tugged at her sandy lips before her face tilted up to look at her mother. Maybe momma would know. "Who's that?" She finally asked, growing tired of waiting.
The soft breeze would caress the stubby build, brushing away the wisps before trailing away. Until finally would the earthly coloured girl stand, ears pinning back and squinting the orbs into what looks like a glare, but simply trying to get a better look of the strange coloured fae. The cranium was painted red where as the pale body collides along side it. the right side of the lip would tug up in confusion, yet the curiosity to how you can make such a creature starts to kick in. " Meinx." Her name would roll of the salmon tounge with ease, deciding its best to just make things simple so she could head of to sleep.

Eyes carried over each of his family members, hungry gaze lingering longer on his sister than anything else. Her discomfort was obvious, but he would not make her endure the trials for long. "Children," he beckoned them to come, and it would not be so long after that the familiar corpse of his sister would wind forward and immediately his eyes would snap onto her, his gaze locking onto her. Her eyes would carry across each of the children, something akin to curiosity crawling into them, and as she spoke he would clear his throat, "The are ours," he said waving his chin over Eos. He would need to make it clear his wife was not to be bothered. He would do that in time, "We've come to join. I want the children to learn their roots, when they are old enough to where they can care for themselves, Eos will make the call for our lives," He didn't know where else he would want to go, but simplicity was the best policy for the day.
"Speech!".
And then her attention was on the little trio of girls before her. "It's good to meet you three, I'm Chrysanthe - I'm your parent's sister, your aunt." She introduced herself and hoped they would take to her well enough, but if they were following their mother's lead they would be stand offish at best. Eventually they would learn that she being the aunt to both of their parents was a bit taboo, but it didn't have to happen today. "Come on, you should see more of your new home. You have a few cousins to meet around your age." Were they interested in playing with other kids? She hoped so, but only time would tell really.
